Looks great, we alway started with the ready-mix lorries and when we got to the final 1-2 loads then switched to the self-mixing lorries in order to not get the 140 quid return to sender/ton fee. Smart job you have had done there.
I have really enjoyed this series of videos Richard, thank you for taking the time to film and edit them. I bet you are pleased to have it all done now?
RMC companies have you over a barrel, order less than 6m, and they charge you for what they don't carry. I once ordered 36 loads to be delivered in one day. I was assured that they could cope. I got 33, and had to wait until 3-30 the next day for the last 3. Their excuse was we ran out of cement at two plants, and we had other customers for the second day. I didn't use that company again.
hi Richard, how much will it cost you per square yard? i am doing the same job in our farm this summer . we will hit the 80€ per square meter . best regards DHF
Your traditional mixer truck concrete looks way better stuff than the first onsite mixer truck! First truck very slow at delivering the material. For a straight forward yard job like that surely the volume measurements are dead simple to work out and pre-order. Old style mixer truck wins for me at this type of job. For a lasting job the material needs to be well mixed, ie. Mixed while on the journey to site.... There's no substitute for this well mixed consistent concrete especially when doing a yard or laneway.

A good job, should see you out for a few decades. 👍
Wish my biz could get a 'grant'
Looking real nice Richard. Anything on the farm it's a great improvement. 👍👍👍👍👍😉
I hope you are enjoying your holiday in Pembrokeshire!!
starting to look very clean again.
I have enjoyed watching the videos on the new concrete.
Hi the funky farmer very nice job from Gerry Kelleher
Brilliant to hear you got grant aid towards the cost of repairing that.
Tamping is the best finish you'll find out why when it's Icy.
Reddy Parrott I thought that shouldn’t it be a rougher Finnish.?
It's not a compressor.......its power hydraulic unit and can driver many different hydraulic tools
Great job Richard
The roller is a good job I use the scread stick to level a yard
Not sure what to think of the volumetric mixers???? Conventional mixers for me only as I drive 1😂 what grade you use on the yard RC40???
Yes I think the conventional mixer produced a better product which is why I switched. I think it was RC35 but I can't remember for sure
RC35 good mix but where I work anything on a farm is either RC40 or RC45, it’ll be fine I bet the boys looked like they knew what they were doing
Do those concrete layers arrive on horse back 🤔
lol
Still not as big a cowboy's as the last lorry load of concrete
Looking tidy Richard!
good job 👍
Good video Richard 👍🏻

Great job 👍

Sorry George I don't know that. To be honest I can't remember the spec we ordered but it was farm grade concrete to withstand urine etc

Those roller strikers are evil things
You should of put yours and the boys names in it for generations to come
A few of your roofs could do with power washing, get that algae of them.

I hope that concrete crew where on a set price per meter 🙄🙄🙄 they made a balls up on first pour basic measurements
Its a ten thousand pounds grant when we were in it worth it

Must be money in the milk Richard
Ya can't beat a goodly bit o concrete
P.S. I'm also particularly interested in stainless steel fabrication.
Add more water and don't be torturing yourselves not worth it !
Needed to be on the dry side due to the gradient
