The first item is old. I have one from my father. If he had lived now then he had the age of 108 years . The grinder, i think i have that also from my mom. I love the old stuff. You have beautiful items. The painting on your wall i love it. Love , hugs and greetings from the Netherlands

Melanie I love both bakers racks and I love all your old utensils❤️. The spatterware wash pan is a very old piece and the blue and white was always highly collected💙 Awesome haul. The crossstitch your sister made is beautiful and I love the vintage bottles your Mom and Dad dug up. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Jean 🙋♀️thanks so much, I wish the inside of my spatterware wasn’t repainted, but I like it anyway. I like it rust and all😊 I forgot to mention in my video that the little medicine bottles on my larger bakers rack beside the old milk bottle were also found by my parents. My home is on 12 acres and we’ve found some broken pieces of crock and one old soda bottle. When the weather gets warmer I think I’ll go do a better search for any possible hidden treasures. My mom had one with the green handles and she gave it to my sister. Who should have it because she’s the one that followed in my mom‘s footsteps and making her beautiful most wonderful piecrust in the world.😊

@@melaniethompson6353 my mom had like to make pies and freeze them. My dad said a while back did you know there’s still one pie and two pie shells in the freezer that mom made. So last week we took the pie out and then our family dinner we had it, and it was peach, which is my favorite and it also happened to be the day before my brothers birthday. I said well, Bob, Mom made you one more birthday pie! Of course, tears were shed. 🥰

Your sieve is actually a Foley food mill. My mom had one with a red handle. My dad was a builder & he had a wood level like yours back in the '50s. You found some nifty pieces.

I love that blue porcelain piece. I would actually use that as a planner like on my porch and plant some spinach or something but I love it.

I'm really enjoying your videos! I follow a few channels and it seems like one of my favorite channels keeps decorating and hauling with the same decor, risers, cutting boards and black and white decor. I think it looks great in her house but yawn! That's all I see. Thanks for keeping things fresh on your channel.
Thanks so much ❤️ it’s so fun to freshen up and change out our decor. I loved Tuscan style and decorated that way for a long time… but I was definitely ready for a change and wanted to surround myself with different things. I’ve never been one to follow trends and I don’t plan on starting at this point in my life. Have a great week 🤗🌻🐑

Mel, I love all your primitive goodies and how you styled them. I have so many of the things you have now and so many when I was into Country style. I have many regrets getting rid of them. Being married 50 years many of my things are now vintage. I have a Bakery/Gingerbread theme in my kitchen and I do keep my gingerbread decor out year round. Thanks for sharing, my primitive friend!

My house is 1925 original this is the house I grew up in so a lot of it has original 1925 items are I don’t know 1940 but I love it. I like to keep it original as much as I can and that pot is awesome and I’m a really really big cook because I would cook with that pot if it’s cookable.

I understand that as the years go by things need to be updated and repaired. Your home and the contents of all the original items have so many stories to tell. Oh my goodness Melanie, so many of the decor pieces you are using remind me of my Granny so much! I have a feeling that you would love some of the things I have of hers! I am hoping to get all of it out of storage this week so I can start going through things. So many precious things! I just love your videos because they make me feel right at home! I just found your page because I wanted some ideas and some DIY’s. I’m getting ready to do some stuff in my kitchen. My kitchen has the original glass uppers the low I had to redo it The lower cabinets were not savable, but I am getting ready to paint everything… I do cook with cast-iron so I’m trying to see if I can make me like a cast-iron wall with maybe some I don’t know some kind of not be bored but maybe I gotta figure it out. I’m still looking.

Good will is crazy high .that store is just a store they don't help anyone. . your jewelry is sold on line so is yours furniture. They say they hire people with disability. 1 girl I may add very hard worker. I do shop there. But donate else where. Sorry but needed said
