I used to love the HOUSE, downstairs in the basement, top top night!!!! Watching the walls melt and the music flow. This track plus Mr Kirks Nightmare, Double G Fire when ready, EON Spice must flow, Cybersonik technarchy to name but a few :)
Yeah I was a Fennel Street regular...the Jam MCs in the main roon downstairs were fantastic. Shady as fuck though but more underground than a mole chasing an earthworm
Another quality 'Kraftwerk' sample, still comin on strong nearly 20 years down the line. B side this as well. Perfect next track... G Double E 'Fire when ready'. Cheers for the upload.
The Spice must flow....the House was fuckin amazing. Such a good mix of tunes in a dark, dingy underground club. Other great House tune was Twisted Tambourine...Back By Dope Demand, and you could set your watch by the warm up tunes...Energy Flash was always on at 11 pm to get people up. Ace club, ace days.
That mix of C&C is fucking awesome!!!!! All the lights blacked out and that heartbeat pounding in the background....ace times. I can't find that mix on youtube though...all the djs were fuckin ace, as I remember Moggy did the House for a while, then a nother lad called Pete Sargent, Steve Williams did a few nights there too. It may have been a dive, but for music it was fucking amazing. KLF's 'Last Train to Trancentral' was another one of those tunes
Direct's Let it Ride is another great tune from the House. Had no idea it was actually Joey Beltram though...also look for House Syndicate's Jam the Mace..another early doors classic
What a record this is! People kept banging on about mash-ups a few years ago. Well, here's your first mash up...Kraftwerk meets James Brown in full effect! used to go mental to this track in a little sweatbox called the House in Mancland in 1990. The HOUSE RIP
THE HOUSE RIP...I used to fucking love that club. Proper mancs, no students (like the hac was in 1990/1991..the proper heir to the thunderdome's crown.!
Do you know any more early doors house tunes? theres one in particular i know what it sounds like but thats no good hear, how can i describe? i don't know really it was a real piercing tune that would ring around the speakers it was almost painful to listen to but that may have had something to do with the fact there were only about 20-30 folk in at the time so the sound wasn't absorbed as much.
It's wasn't DJ Spun who use to kill this jam it was DJ Thompson from the Funky Techo Tribute in San Francisco back in 1991-93!!! I MURDERED THIS SONG DANCING!!!
HAHA well great minds and all that...I never knew half the names to the tunes at the time though. Thanks, internet!!! Fongy that Little Little tune is ace...the other Little Little track 'Tickle me' is fucking ace
yeh man pete seargant was more techno i thought he played stuff like 'digital boy - Rotation') and indo tribe - bring in the pulse, and yes last train was fucking wicked in there,"im from somewhere by here"
