This is hilarious, because I'm the guy that bought that watch from the Time Teller Store. Great purchase experience BTW. It was sent out quickly and I received it right away. I never realized that you cared for it so much. Sorry to do that to you. Sellers remorse is also something I have experienced. I had someone contact me on Instagram asking to purchase my Watchco Omega Seamaster 300. I don't know why I agreed but I immediately regrated the sale. I think I was in a depressed mood for several weeks. I finally remedied the situation after about 3 years by hunting down a vintage late 1960's Seamaster 300 that I adore and will not sell anytime soon. Again, sorry to be responsible for your pain, I had no idea. The Gold one is definitely very cool, congrats.
I was hoping that the person who bought the watch posted, and I wasn't disappointed. This sounds like a happy story all-around... you have a piece that you enjoy and it seems like Triple T has found a beautiful replacement! Love it.
When Rolex prices went nuts I sold and explorer 36 and a sub with date. I used that money to buy watches I always wanted. Buttttt… while I am enjoying my watches I do occasionally get stung with the pain of regret. Good video on sellers remorse. 👍
I literally this week parted with two watches I already miss. I sold my BB36 blue dial and Rail Master black dial to fund some of a Rolex 16713 root beer and I already miss having a pair of watches that could go anywhere with no worry.
I experienced seller's remorse when I had to let go of my Sony A7 II. It was my first camera and I really loved using it. Had to let it go so I could get my dream camera, which was finally available at a more attainble price point. I love the new camera, it's everything I hoped it would be, but your first is always your first.
I experienced that too. It was "just" a Casio PRT-10 and I said to myself "Well if I want it in the future, I will probably find one, because it's Casio..." Guess what. The PRT is hard to find, especially in a good condition. Most are really worn and sellers still want a lot of money for it.
I know how you feel. I also collect Hard Rock cafe Pilsner glasses from the cafes I have visited. First about 10 years ago Hard Rock discontinued pilsner glasses to go to Pint glasses. But I had a Hard Rock hotel Chicago Pilsner ( the hotels all used the "meatball" design like the cafes but the hotels meatball was violet.) I had someone online offer to trade me a 25th anniversay london Pilsner and a Istambul Pilsner for my Chicago hotel . Since I live in Chicago at the time I thought I would just go get one to replace. But wouldnt you know, The hotel shut down and re flagged . I have spent years looking for another one and havent found one. That.... is sellers regret 101.
Oh the sellers remorse. My two regrets selling: Omega X-33 ref. 3291.50 and my Fortis Cosmonaut Chronograph Lemania 5100 ref. 602.10.142. How I miss them both. Regretted it almost instantly after selling both.
I haven't done it, but believe rebuying is quite common. With me, its about trying particular genres of watches, selling and returning to them. For me, this genre is dress watches. I am just not a dress watch kind of guy. Also, I am an outlier as a subscriber to your channel as I largely prefer dive watches that are quartz or solar...like the Tuna 300m or Citizen BN150. I try a mechanical watch and just can't stand how much attention they require for proper winding and how inaccurate they are, so I sell them. I have owned many automatics like Sarbs and Turtles etc, only to sell them. Grab and go is better for me as I rotate my watches depending on mood and occasion. So a slight variation on a 'particular watch and subsequent rebuy. Trial and error' is largely how humans learn.
An Omega Seamaster 166.0216 cal. 1020 shouldn't be too difficult to find. It's not a particularly rare model and with a price range of around 800 - 1500 $ depending on the condition they're fairly cheap. There's a nice range of dial colors, too. Afaik they're not particularly sought after either, since many Omega enthusiasts don't like the movements from the cal. 1000 series, because they have a reputation of being unreliable compared to older cal. series. In my experience that's not true at all. I have a Seamaster 166.0169 cal. 1012 with a blue dial, which is one of my most reliable and accurate vintage Omegas.
well maybe the stainless steel is the must request one, but thst goldone that you got looks soooo sharp the bracelet adds alot of slikness to the look in gold! I regret selling one of my Mido Futura in prisitine condition
Thanks for the vid. I just bought one on eBay. Pristine with 2 bracelets. Thanks to you. Got it 3 days ago and found out it was NOS and bracelets are brand new unsized!
Shame most have the day date, still very available too. The great thing about this particular ref is the round crystal, much more easily found and replaced than the TV dial square or rectangular acrylic. To the point that the ones with damaged glass are effectivly written off if they cant be buffed.
I have a Omega that I love. It is my number 1 watch. It is a manual wind 1949 Omega Tressor. It is a seventeen jewels and is accurate. It is a 18k Rose gold black face with a second sub dial. I bought an 18k rose gold Omega buckle. It has a black horween leather band. It is absolutely stunning. It looks like the Modern Omega Tressor but a little smaller. The new Omega cost $17,000. I have $2000 in mine. I will never wear this watch in a major city. To me, I have reached my top watch. It came out of a old collection in Israel. I own several watches. but it is the King of my collection. I wear it most of the time. I also collect pocket watches. I have a pocket watch holder on my belt . My top pocket watch is 1 1896 Illinois 24 jewel coin silver Illinois railroad with a real nice sterling silver chain. So if I feel uncomfortable about wearing a watch I just carry a pocket watch that no sees.
Sold Seiko Presage “Fuyugeshiki” and “Sakura Fubuki”. Very beautiful watches I regret getting rid of. The SPB105 and the SBDC077 divers. Lastly, I regret selling my first “real” watch. A quartz Bulova I wore regularly in college.
The Omega watch is very stunning! I too have seller's remorse I sold my Oris Aquis green and gold that I still think about to this day. The gold bezel and the green dial with gold accents were a perfect match!
This is beautiful watch, it probably wouldn't work for everyones wrist but it is still very nice piece. Were you just able to find quick or did you actually spend time doing it. Until now I never really sold any of my watches from the collection but thinking if I should sell like 3-5 to get one. I wonder if you have big personal collection? like 5-6 or 50-60 ? Your polish viewer.
You may call it sellers remorse but to sell one and even though the stainless is pretty dang cool but to get the upgrade which is a little more limited I'd say that's a good trade. ☺️👍
I have this watch, not the exact same, mine is a blue dial and no day function. But everything else is the same. It was my first watch and love it to this day.
Nice piece! I wish today's Omega would take pointers from their heritage. Their new stuff is a bit stale. Need 2024 from Omega to be more then just dial changes.
Good you said it was vintage… otherwise I would be surprised, unless there is deep emotional connection, why someone would regret that deeply for having sold an Omega. You get them anywhere, just choose the discount…
I take my time buying my watches, all the ones I purchase I purchase with the intent to keep. Watches aren't an investment for me, they are a hobby and a passion
Sellers remorse is the worst. I have several I let go because my collection was getting unruly and any time I see someone wearing one of the same models I die a lttle inside. That's a gorgeous Seamaster.
My sellers remorse was selling off my FOIS speedmaster especially when I got it at retail discounted 1k made a profit exchanged with a yatchmaster 40 rhodium dial so it is kinda half remorse half not coz I have the Yachtmaster 😅.. I do want to re buy the speedmaster when I save up some extra money, though 😂
The only watch I really regret selling was my SARB017 as I got tired of it at one point. Still can't force myself to buy it used at the current insane prices (plus mine was pristine, not even a scratch inside the lugs), and the new version with the cyclops window is 🤮
I sold my quartz prx to make a quick buck, my postal service lost my package and I had to refund the eBay seller in full, selling on ebay was not worth the hassle and I wish I still had the prx because it was my only green watch and it was affordable :/
Sometimes we take some decisions which are tough to stick to it in future....but past is past....done and dusted.....and thinking about it we do take weird decisions...in the given case, first watch was awesome and searching for it you bought a second model, but it is not as good looking like first....as you asked...my take is just forget and move on 😊
I had remorse about my Speedy... for years... so happy to have got the 1861 again.. Best Speedy ever.... would always buy over the new one P.s. i had sold it TWICE in the past 😂 ... such a fool
I flipped a watch for a client that was short on cash. Because of this, all my watches were considered investments when I got a divorce. I had to sell them to give her half the value. The only time I sold a watch caused me to sell all my watches 😢
how about not buying remorse. You see a watch you like - maybe on line or at an auction, you need to think about it and it is gone by the time you decide you want it

Hah! Awesome, man! I’m so happy it went out to a good home!!! Thank you for supporting me here and at the shop! 🤘
the chosen one

BB36 blue is underrated. Harder to get now too. I love mine.
The BB36 in black or blue wears and looks superb

I admit that I regret selling Seiko PADI Solar Titanium SBDJ015 but as I sold it to the Seiko Nerd, I believe that kid now be in better hands than me

A 1958 Omega Seamaster, gold-filled, with a caliber 500, original strap, buckle, and crystal.

I sold an Omega Aqua Terra quartz several years ago,I have bought another 38.5 mm A.T. and I will not be selling it again.

There was a micro brand piece I picked up. Thought it was okay. Now I miss it big time. Yep year hunt to rebuy. :(
I take my time buying my watches, all the ones I purchase I purchase with the intent to keep. Watches aren't an investment for me, they are a hobby and a passion
I have that 166 gold version , it is a lovely watch. The bracelet on yours is not original. It isn't tapered enough
Can I ask what the case size on that new omega? It's stunning. I need one. Lol.
How much did you sell it for?

I regret selling my vintage Heuer Carrara for $300 back in 1999 when i was in college, its a 30k watch now😢
lovely story buddy, lovely watch, it's classy, glad you dried the tears and moved on,
I noticed it’s a lot of people regret selling their omegas
Looks like a lovely watch. You live and learn always
Very nice! Congrats!

Gorgeous watch!
Just picked up a PP - talk about buyers remorse :(
I had remorse about my Speedy... for years... so happy to have got the 1861 again.. Best Speedy ever.... would always buy over the new one

Watches and all passions interest. Mine guiter. Great shows. Totally different that all horological shows. Blessings and thx
I think it is a 366.0868 with cal 1020 not 366.0842
That Omega Seiko 5 homage is super cringe.
how about not buying remorse. You see a watch you like - maybe on line or at an auction, you need to think about it and it is gone by the time you decide you want it
You got peer pressured
I knew this video would happen eventually
Great story, never sold any of my watches, all mine till death do us part
Beautiful watch
I don’t think I would ever sell any of the watches that I own…. They all mean something…. Will leave them for my children or grandkids
0:20 No one, my arse. Jody from JOMW keeps buying a divers 65 so he can keep saying it
I'm sorry to have sold my Longine Admiral
NEW HAMPSHIRE!!!
Never sell watches, books, or children. No, FBI, the last one is a joke, dammit.
Nice watch, with an integrated bracelet though, which you seem to hate so much... 🙂
Nice!
Sold my sub 14060 back in the early ‘90s. Stupid!
Will you make TikTok dance videos related to watches?
See what happens when I am in L.A. first place....Never before done .!!! 💯
I should have never sold my Ball watches 😣
I regret selling all my watches if money was no object i would be the biggest hoarder of watches
Gun guys talk about it a lot. Watch guys not that much
Sorry, no seller’s remorse here. I’ve never felt like selling any watch in my collection. Also why I’m broke🤣
Lol he said smooth movement 😅🤣
Sorry 😐 that's juvenile
💩😂
It's tiny.
How much was it lol

Nice guy and solid info ,but why would you swear? Looks like you are inteligent enough to creat content without it.
Take care
Long time viewer
Sell that to me
Dude that watch is too small for your wrist,it looks ridiculous
You’re going to be pissed when you see my daily watch. A 32mm Bubbleback.
Suave 🤌
