When I was a kid I invested so much time in blitzball that I got so good at it I was able to beat the mandatory game and the game just got stuck on a black screen lol. Idk if that's because it's not supposed to happen or if it was an unlucky crash but that was hilarious.
The bio strategy works! It was a fun journey to see you play through the whole game, I also went ahead and did a replay during that time as well so it was fun discussing strategies and the overall plots on stream even though I was not much of a help during battles. ps. I'm still waiting for that 200 lightning bolts stream, don't keep me waiting haha
We are currently playing MH dos right now on the weekends! My sister is joining me in online play and it’s so freaking fun. Luckily we love MH and it will likely take a long time, but it’s a weekend game, we are in no rush
The dodging 200 lightning bolts thing is not for Tidus's ultimate weapon, but Lulu's. Also, you DO need to play blitzball as that's the only way to get Wakka's ultimate weapon and the sigil to power it up.
Ah ok I see, couldn’t remember whose weapon it was for! As for blitzball, still not something you HAVE to do, but most will exactly for that reason. I think it’s still more than worth it for the spheres
I tried to play this game so many times when I was younger and always gave up about two hours in. This was the first time I got to see the entire game! I might just have to go back and actually beat this game!
It took me 10 years to beat this game lol. I got it when it came out from a rich kid in my school who didn't understand the value of a game that's not real time action and had a great time, even cried a few times then someone stole it from me right when i got to the last part of the game. I kept wanting to buy another copy to finish it but jrpgs aren't really available in my country and even when I went to study in Japan I was still reluctant to getting it because it was a big part of my childhood and finishing it would be like saying goodbye to a big part of my life. Years later when things didn't go well with pursuing my dreams and everything I went back to my country completely depressed so I decided to get a modded ps2 which had become way easier to find and just go play all the old jrpgs I never got to play as a kid as a sort of comfort thing. When I played all of the jrpgs I've always wanted to play the only one left was FFX and when I finished it, during the last scene I cried like baby for the first time in years. All this time the characters were stuck in time in my head safe in that spot where nothing too dramatic has happened yet but they were finally able to move on with their stories and i had no choice but to move on myself. Move on from my childhood and move on from my dream to finally grow up.
Thank you for sharing, it's incredible how something can affect us our whole lives, and video games can absolutely do it. I'm glad you were able to finish it and that it helped you move on!
Happy early Birthday! Ah yeah this is a great RPG. There are lot's of cool things I missed so let us know how you liked the game, and what cool things you find!
This game was the last great Final Fantasy until Square decided to start screwing around with the battle system and messed it up for FF 12 and on and on. Traditional turn based battle system in a Final Fantasy game is essential and FFX and FFX-2 were the last ones. The story was awesome and the characters were memorable. Auron was my favorite. The summons were awesome too and Meister Seymour was a bastard. LOL.
It’s interesting they departed from the turn based combat for pretty much all future games. I’ll always love turn based rpgs, maybe they’ll come back to them one day…
is the intention of the whole challenge like, You beating every game, or do you think youd ever join forces with someone and like idk split genres or something so youre mostly playing games you like to Actually finish before you die?
Every single one! The only way I’d do something like that is if I can’t possibly, and it would most likely be my kids. I have joined with one person but we shared the experience on Resident Evil. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a one man challenge!
@@matektv4326 I couldn't possibly decide. Chrono Trigger, FF6, FF7, FF9, FFX, and Earthbound are all peak. Then there are debatable equivalents like Shining Force 2, Lufia 2, phantasy Star 4 - and that's just classic 90s & early 00s JRPGs. That's not even counting western RPGs or modern JRPGs like Neir Automata. It's just silly to me to read "by far" when it's nowhere near that clear cut.
PS2 has over 4000 titles - most of which are absolute garbage (as is the case on almost every other system). Are you a masochist? This will become your life's work, and it will likely take about two decades to complete.
Oh yes yes yes! I’m so excited to play each game even if I hate it. I expect to die before hand, but maybe I can do it. Luckily my wife thinks it’s awesome and has been extremely supportive, so it’s ooooon
