As someone wanting to get in to cross stitch that’s really intimidated by it (but big time crocheter), I like those kits a whole lot since they have everything you need (and are adorable) - would you consider them beginner friendly?

Personally I would pick up a small kit on Aida. Dimensions has them at most craft stores. They come with everything too!
