You are the first reaction ive seen who actually recognises the old stuff (shady Sands, Mariposa). You're also the first reaction who calls the robot a Mr Handy and not Codsworth lol. I love the genuine insight and fascination. Great video! :)
Thanks so much, appreciate it! :) I love Fallout and its world so much, I was so excited to see so many elements and Easter eggs pulled right from the games. I’m hoping it’s a sign the creators care for the source material! (Also that Mister Handy looked SO good!)
@@honest_cake I read an article on this show (in Entertainment Weekly maybe?), and Jonathan Nolan said he's a HUGE FO fan (he had played FO3 for 100's of hours, for example), which is what drew him to this project. I saw an interview from SXSW where he and another exec producer and Todd were all talking about how they love the material. I feel confident that the show is in good hands. 🙂
My guess is the Ghoul didn’t work for Vault-Tec, but was an actor and did a commercial for Vault-Tec. I’m thinking he starred in westerns because at one point he was watching an old western on a tv and I feel like he was watching himself. Probably gonna be some real emotional moments with his character (when the bombs went off, he was running with what I’m assuming was his child) and I can’t wait to see them explore his story.
Mmm that’s a great theory, especially considering him watching that western like you mentioned. I’m so excited to see the pre-war bits (…does that make me a bad person lol), it was a neat twist for Fallout 4
Finally, an actual Fallout fan reacts to the trailer! Glad you noticed all the little details, and I couldn't agree more, some of the assets of the environment looks like its ripped straight from the games. So excited for this show! Also great video, I'm subscribing.
Thanks a bunch, appreciate it! :) It’s honestly wild (wasteland) how similar the assets look, the nostalgia while watching these trailers has been killer. April 12th could not come sooner.
I recall from the first teaser there were scenes of Vault dwellers going nuts and attacking each other, so my guess is Lucy leaves to either ask Vault-Tec why something "went wrong" at 33, or maybe they find a terminal entry telling the overseer to trigger an experiment and she's off to lodge a complaint.
was just about to comment aswell lmao, its just a common phrase thats even in fo4 when at the start codsworth corrects saying "its actually a little over 210" so just a throwback to fallout 4 most likely.
Looks like a mutant axolotl to me. There are so many easter eggs in this, and they've nailed the aesthetic so well, that it makes my old Fallout fangirl heart happy!
Yes, the announcer, a pre-war actor, is the ghoul. The Airship is the Carwennan (not sure on spelling off the top of my head. It's a Arthurian reference, like Prydwen was) and, yes, it's practically identical to the Prydwen. A Prydwen-class airship. The Power Armor is literally identical to East-Coast Brotherhood Power Armor circa FO5, down to the markings. (Brotherhood members wear power armor with Rank marks.) So literally the East-Coast Brotherhood on the West Coast, for some reason. Shady Sands is apparently a crater. Lots of questions. In New Vegas, it seemed like the Western Brotherhood was all but dead, but things have turned fully the other way. No Legion, though. There's also a few things you've missed, but I missed them myself, too. There's a pregnant blonde woman who appears thrice: working in the vault; scissors in the eye, crazed, and shooting during the vault disaster; and eyepatch. I don't have much respect for Bethesda and Amazon, but I have to admit I am very interested.
Great vid! I especially like how you did the reaction. I liked the "play the whole video and react live" but then replay it as you pause along the way during the second watch. 👌
My bet is that the East Coast Brotherhood has returned in some way, yeah. That airship isn't the Prydwen (name starts with a "C" I think?) but it's obviously heavily inspired by it, so I'm thinking they constructed a new one to take back to the West. Although I'm not exactly sure how, given all the unique components that went into building the Prydwen... We'll see!
this looks so amazing we get to go back to shady sands see the ncr battle the brotherhood, always wanted to see more of the story from fallout 1 and 2 more so than fallout 4 and 4
It will be interesting to see the setting of 1 and 2 during the time period of 4. Very curious to see if news/events from the East have reached the West in any way, especially regarding the Brotherhood.
I watch Todd and the director with a couple actors do an interview of sorts talking about the film. It's the same guy behind Westworld. This show is supposed to be like Fallout 6. It's ahead of the next Fallout game even as confirmed by Todd. Btw, that gun is the Fallout 4 mod, the Russian MTs-255 Revolver Shotgun.
I can’t wait too watch the show 🙌🏻I was late playing the fallout games,I’d heard of them but didn’t start til fallout 4 came out then played hundreds of hours lol I really hope they introduce everything slowly and not rush into showing us the Characters,Creatures/animals,factions and weapons I really want the show too be a multi season show and go on for years 🙏🏻.im mainly looking forward too seeing Dogmeat,Super mutants and Deathclaw hopefully after a couple of seasons 😄
I actually also only got into Fallout when 4 came out! I fell in love and went back to play the other games afterwards. It looks like we’re gonna get a lot of inter-faction conflict which has me excited, and MAN would it be sweet to see a Deathclaw on the screen.

NICE! First time that happens for me and did not expect it to be with Dogmeat 😂 I am in love with the set.
Pretty sure that's not the "real" Shady Sands. What you're seeing is a public library next to a crater in the middle of the LA Boneyard. Shady Sands, capital of the NCR, is nowhere near the Boneyard. It's probably just a production Easter egg, with the library possibly even being the library the Followers of the Apocalypse worked out of in Fallout 1. If that's the case, the big ol' crater beyond it is what's left of the Master's cathedral.
I don't think many noticed that our cowboy ghoul is still wearing his vault suit (under his current cowboy suit) from the very first trailer when he tries to save the little girl on a horse.
That's not a vault-suit, that's just a blue-jeans cowboy costume. You can see him wearing the costume when he's trying to save his daughter (or a random kid) from the nuclear blast. Which seems to insinuate that the kid will be the antagonist (she's the one leading the raids) to our protagonist trio.
You're right.@@neliz2k I just re-watched the first one. It might have been the color scheme. It looks like they were promoting something when the nukes started blowing up. Or it might have been a birthday party of some sort. But, he is still wearing it after all these years.
