  • Nashik Rahad Culture and Rangotsav ..
Let's get detailed information about the Rahad culture left in Nashik only in India, including Shani Chowk, Delhi Darwaza, Tambat Lane and Rahadin in Tiwanda ...
    Rahad culture of Nashik ...
In India, on the second day of Falgun Pournima, Dhulivandana is celebrated as a festival of colors and in some places it is celebrated as Falgun Krishnapanchami or Rangpanchami but in Nashik this festival of colors is celebrated only on Rangpanchami.
In all the regions of India, this festival of colors is played in its various ways.
The origin of Rahadi basically takes us back to the Peshwa period.
Peshwa is the father of true Rahadis. It was the Peshwas who built these Rahadis in stone and lime 250 to 300 years ago.
If you look at the architecture of the rahadis, you can see a square hood. You can see the length and width of many rahadis.
    1) In Shani Chowk near the north door of Kalaram temple,
    2) Delhi Darwaza near Gadgem Maharaj Bridge,
    3) Near Mercury confectionery in Tiwanda
    4) In the middle of the old copper lane
    5) Rahad between copper larvae
    6) Rahad in the middle of Holi
During the Peshwa period, these rahadis were under the control of Peshwa chiefs, then they came under the control of various talamis and now they belong to the local mandals.
Rahad at Shani Chowk: - This tradition of Rahadi dating back to Peshwa period has been preserved by Shani Chowk Mitramandal and Sardar Raste Akhada at Shani Chowk with great tradition. This ridge in Saturn Square is 12 × 12 (length × width). The color of this rahadi is pink. In the same way, the colors of other rahadis are also decided. Therefore, it is immediately known which isam has just come out of which rahdati ...
The excavation of Rahadi starts from the day before Rangpanchami, after its complete excavation, it is duly worshiped and then the coloring begins. The coloring is done in a completely natural way.
The leaves, flowers, turmeric and kumkum are mixed together and heated in a pot for 4 to 5 hours.
The only characteristic of Rahadi is that after the Rangpanchami is celebrated, only ancient sacrifices are used to bury it. (Large logs of teak wood) and the water of the previous color in the rahadi is kept in such a way that it is half filled with rahadi.
Such ancient wooden ondke i.e. balya is used only in this rahadi.
After making the color and decorating the entire rahad, the color is worshiped, the first color is first cast on Shani Deva in Shani Chowk and on the Maruti of Raste Talmi, after which the senior members of the Dikshit family make the first jump from the east.
If you immerse yourself in this rahadi for a few hours, the color on your body does not go away for two to three days.
There is a legend in Nashik that
    What is Rahad -
In the past, Rahad was considered as the place where the strength of the group of wrestlers of Talmi in the street was displayed. Once upon a time, wrestling matches were also held here.
The word 'Rahada' must have become popular as the children used to fight in these wrestling events and the word 'Rahad' has been engraved on the minds of Nashik people.
Rangpanchami is not complete without the people of Nashik stepping on Rahad.
Tourists come not only from Nashik but also from abroad to take a dip in this rahadi ..........
