    Awesome video Jake! Gardening truly is a constant learning curve. Observe the trees and plants and let them tell you what they need is the best. No one solution fits all, it is always a mix of methods to make things work, especially if one grow as diverse as you do. Happy Gardening! Hope the Dauben Tropical Water Lily I brought over survived the curious school of koi~ 😃

    Thanks for posting this, Jake! I'm a vegetarian and found inspiration in your love of gardening and choice of following a vegan diet. I really enjoy your videos and have recently subscribed. My favorite analogy was the one about seeds being babies and therefore need more frequent watering. I also got a Barbados cherry tree and some Goji berry plants thanks to your enthusiastic endorsement. Please keep up the great work. You're changing the world! =)

    Thanks for the video. I'm a fair distance away, but the experiences you've encounter and overcome will be of assistance.
    Although I'm in northern Australia, I'm developing a new garden/forest from bare bones in what is a tropical arid zone - I.e the rain moves around us!
    Water usage is such a high priority, and I thank you again for giving me ideas to move forward with.

I am trying to get mine going and so I really like to see how you take care of them and how they are doing. Thanks and I look forward to your VeganAthlete videos.

    what I do is watering all the plants and not changed the frequency for summer three times (in sunset,middle of the day, and sunrise) Then eventually I reduced to two times at the end of summer.For winter too but the duration of water flood will be reduced in winter. When you break the frequency the plant need will be more because it's adapted to time of watering more than amount. What do you think about it?

      i must suggest a water filter for your tap water. even a 3 stage carbon filter will remove 90% of the chlorine. this would protect the aerobic bacteria. i have tilapia and never give them tap water straight. but the 90% suits them well with no additives. another thought, the water table is fairly close to the surface even in the desert. thats why there are no basements. maybe drill your own well but that water needs filtering as well. just not much chlorine

    • @jessemsparks
      @jessemsparks 8 лет назад

      In some of the earlier videos you can see an in-line filter between hose connections. He also sells the filters at his garden tours. Not sure if there is one on the bubbler line or not though. But can confirm on the hose.

    In Corpus Christi Texas there is about 70% humidity every day so you don't have to water plants much plus Corpus gets between 25" and 32" of rain per year which with the humidity is enough rain for tropicals

    Hi Vegan, I've watched many tutorials that I liked so much and never comented them but let me tell you that I really liked yor video! I even saved it in my playlist, because I found it very helpful and clear. I got a good deal in buying 7 acres of land in Mexico, on a small town and on a beautiful hill with a beautiful view. and I'm planning to live there when I retire in a couple of years more. like I said, I really liked your video. I even subscribed to your channel ( first time too). I;ll apply what I've learned from you in my proyect in gardening, and trees. thanks again. I would like to know if you buit your pond because I' like to have one too, with a stream and cascade.
