We test the setting ability of the M2 Mantus Anchor and compare it to the Rocna Original. Both Mantus and the Rocna Anchors weigh about 13 lb. The bottom is a compacted hard packed sand.
The anchors are attached to a crossbar so it's easier to visualize the difference in the performance.

Very interesting. Would like to see the same comparison to the Rocna Vulcan. We would think the performance of the Vulcan and the M2 would be very similar. If you show me the M2 outperforms my Vulcan, guess who is switching. 😉 Actually, send us an M2 and we will do the comparison.

You should do your tests from the waterline up the beach so they are both in the same sand. Although marginal, the one higher up on the beach is in slightly drier, softer sand. Thanks for the videos, we are about to buy a m2

    Hello, very impressive thanks.
Someday, could you made a video to compare Mantus and Mantus M2 but with both anchor on their « back » to show the ability of both anchor to come in the right position to dig in the sand.
    Thanks

Uggh, crossbar testing is useless, as each anchor is affected by the other, which is obviously a totally unrealistic scenario, it is nothing better than a fairground gimmick. Show us an underwater set with a load cell in the rode so you can show us the real measurement and stop talking.

I'm sure you product works well but your videos are very bias. I would like to see the whole unedited video showing time when your anchor doesn't bite. At 1:02 it looks like the previous pull (not shown, just from markings on the ground), the competitor bites in well and yours starts to but then releases and drags. You would get much more credibility if you were more transperant and honest in your vidoes.
