Not getting a goal scorer at the deadline cost this team a conference championship berth. This on Sweeney for not getting that and putting this team in cap jail
Wrong.
A. Sweeny went all in last year and built the best roster I’ve ever seen in the salary cap era and the team shit the bed.
B. If you wanted bergy and krejci to play last year on the cheap deals they took then it comes with the dead money we had to deal with this year.
C. It was supposed to be a bridge year and we over achieved and made it far considering the circumstances.
D. Sweeny brought in multiple players on bargain deals and they all performed well
E. We saw multiple breakouts in sway, lohrei, Beecher, poitras etc
F. When we trade ullmark this offseason which sweeny did in fact try at the deadline but ullmark used his ntc we’re gonna have north of 27 mil in cap space this offseason plus the assets we get in return for ullmark.
It was a disappointing end to the season but an overall massive success if you look at this team going forward.
Bingo. They need a big time goal scorer. A clutch game winning goal scorer. They don't have one.
@@JFonzibest roster ever assembled is a little bit of a reach lol. Also there were plenty of guys at the deadline he could have gotten in here (Duclair, hertl to name a few who were moved) that wouldn’t have cost the team much and waiting till the last second to try to move Ullmark is on him instead of shopping him earlier to teams that needed help in net that were still in the playoff picture. All the teams he has built have no serious top end playoff talent, also he the prospects are more on the scouting department than him he isn’t out there figuring out who to draft

Got further than I thought .frustrating to lose in playoffs always.but the future is bright.add some new players top centre a faceoff man.speedier players.we r gonna be ok 👍. Keep it rollin
People forget that at the beginning of the year Bruins were barley winning games with scores of 2-1 or 3-1. We knew goaltending and defense would carry this team in the regular season, but come the playoffs if you don't have consistent offense your not winning. Hopefully this off season they can open up some cap space by replacing debrusk and Gryz with a legit top line center, and maybe move Ullmark for some added top tier offense.

@@frankpropri540 they had a great regular season, but as a whole this team was made of 3rd and 4th line players. Playoffs are completely different for a team that essentially over achieved this season.
Ok but Vegas Gave them's the seventh best odds to win the cup in the beginning of the Season, they're not that far away People can complain about the penalties.

You had you have at least 5 or 7 breakaway? Please, I think you scored one. You're goalies and I'm talking about both of they're both really good. Pick one trade the other 1, whoever it is and get players, that's what you need to do.
They leaked first 15 games of season and that fooled lots of people. They had a forward on first three lines playing above their caliber. Will catch up to you.
Need Lindholm and Stevenson and I would move Coyle to RW
with Poitras(if healthy) to start the season. Coyle can handle the down low D zone responsibility.
Surprisingly our defense let us down the most this post season.
As I said before, our team has or had to many passengers. I mean did you not notice how much time we had to play in our own zone throughout the series. I said it last night to my wife that the longer were playing D with them in possession of the puck in our zone its only inevitable before we see the puck in the back of our net. We need a few more pieces especially in the Center position. Go Bruins 2024-2025!
Couldn't score enough consistently. Simple as that.
Swayman and the D did their jobs for the most part....most forwards didn't do theirs. Need more O.
Still glad they beat the Leafs (again LOL) and got to the 2nd at least.

The only fury from me is that simple adjustments could have won Fla. series (coach invisible) and way too many players were just absent. All UFA go bye-bye and find a bonafide goal scoring forward.

They don't have a big time clutch goal scoring forward. Pasta's not it. They need a guy that can score 4-5 goals in a series. They don't have that. Pasta is grossly overpaid.

Peeke and Maroon sucked all playoffs. Trade bait for next year. Heinen, Ullmark, Forbot, Grezelcyk, Lindholm, Lysell, Merkulov and Megna should be gone. Need scoring center and wing depth. Also need better defenseman.

He makes 2.75 but your overpaying about 1.5M for what

The Bruins should have won game 6. They can't extend leads. They can't finish. Stupid too many men penalties. Giving the puck away to easily. Florida wasn't at the top of their game. Bruins lost the series.
Florida is just another time like Vegas the NHL promotes. They will not win the Cup.
