Using Mini-Lessons to Teach the SEP and RTC (Paul Andersen)

The New TEKS Science Standards represent a large change in science teaching. In addition to learning science content, students should learn to do science using the Scientific and Engineering Practices (SEP). They also should learn to think like scientists using the Recurring Themes and Concepts (RTC). In this breakout session, Paul Andersen shows you how to use mini-lessons to explicitly teach the additional two dimensions in the new standards.
