One of two games that I saw had some of the worse calls that I have ever seen! Sellers just flops on the floor whenever she is touched and they call FOUL! There is no way a hairline touch and you go flying to the floor! They grabbed and tacked Notre Dame players and night long, but no fouls were called. Just go back and look at some of the calls Maddy got, look at the foul that she fouled out on? They won't get the same calls against SC though and that will be the difference. All of Notre Dame's bigs were in foul trouble in the third quarter after they took a ten-point lead, give me a break!
Even if the starting five of SC gets into foul trouble, the bench players are EXCELLENT as well! SC will beat MD convincingly again.
Maryland started 5 guards, 6 guards off the bench, no forwards or 5’s. Works so far.
I would quibble about Maisonis (short power forward) and Miller (small forward) as guards. "wings" maybe. But it seems like the old terms are fading as every position wants to shoot threes and face the basket. Maryland certainly has no center or post height.

SC is on a whole other level of basketball. ND simply gave this game away from turnovers. SC will win against MD again.
