I get quite a lot of free things but it's mostly small things like face cream sample. Occasionally I get a full size product, such as a pack of tea or a fabric conditioner- I got these from a company doing marketing research needing some testers. I am in UK. You mentioned setting up a free Google Phone number, which sounded like a great idea. I started the tedious process and had to enter a valid phone number ie. cell# so that they know it's me setting up this free account. Once this is completed, the cell# rings and you're then prompted to enter a code that's provided. I stopped dead in my tracks when I was required to enter my credit card information. A credit card is needed for international calls that could be made with the Google Phone #. Although I enjoy free stuff as much as the next person, I won't be handing over my credit card info to Google. Thanks for the tips, tho

mary birder Just saying, Google is a very complex and safe program.. Giving them your credit card info most likely won't result in hacks or scams.
