Rush was one most beloved rock bands in Brazil. When first achords of Tom Sawyer started we see one the most fantastic ever saw crowd delirium in history of rock concerts. Many people there waited 30 years to see this show. It was like win a SuperBowl, a Major Baseball League, A World Cup.. It was beautiful the energy of the fans..
That's amazing! I'm in Toronto, but always believe that South America has the most appreciative rock audiences. It looked like every single person knew all the words.
Too bad Brazil is being wiped out by the Left. The changes might be permanent.... I hope they stay hopeful, yet discontent ...to their god AND especially their government.
Neil was a shooting star. We all gazed at how he played. Shooting stars are bright and there sadly for a short time and we have a great memory but there's something that'll last forever and will give us fulfillment forever and that's through a born again experience with Christ. We are all here here one purpose and that's to find find through Christ why we're here, without that we wander aimlessly and have no peace that passes all understanding. He's real and loves us all enough to give up His own life that we'd know life
And even better when 95 000 or more don't have the slightest idea of what they are singing with an already uber complicated lyrics , they do it by pure and genuine love.
I had a chance to ask one question to a famous rock legend about 15yrs ago, and i asked him, "whats it like to rock an arena with 80,000‐90,000 fans?" And he said im the only one thats ever asked him such a question. And continued on saying, "i think its why alot of us come out of retirement, because the feeling is like nothing else in the world."
@@steamloco1705 yeah... The lyrics are nonsense in native English too. It is not like the ' natives' in the Chicago Rush shows I attended knew what the song was about either.
Look at the faces of the fans as cameras pan the audience....fans crying for joy as they are given a performance by the band that hits an emotion detector. Geddy said in a recent interview that book signing fans were in tears as he greeted them and autographed there copy of bass book. Once in a lifetime for both💖💖💖💖💖✌🙏🙏🇺🇸
Absolutely one of the best crowds at any rush concert ever and the band fed from it all! I’ve watched a vapor trails DVD more than 100 times and it just fucking rocks!
Brasilians can be f*cking mentally passionate about music. Their whole soul goes into it. Pretty bloody cool. They will sing their traditional music with the same lust.
Teraz jak już Neila nie ma i innych zostało nam oglądać archiwa i LP zamknąc oczy jakby byli wszyscy razem i nadal grali - ✌️😢🎶🎶🎶🎶💫🌹- Rengi from Poland!
First heard this song in a Godfather's Pizza in Atlanta in 1981. Left a huge impression on me, though not my very favorite group, props to those that they are, I comprehend.
So you're three nerds from Ontario who are really into prog rock. By shear circumstances and chance you are together in a band that has some really great success. You tour, produce music and are well received. You're kind of an anomaly, however, as your material isn't really "radio friendly" but your fame still continues to build. Then one day you find yourself in Rio singing a song you and your mates put together and there are a million of people shouting it along with you while you play. Living in the limelight must be unreal for those who think and feel.
Godspeed, Neil, wherever your travels take you. And thanks for all the years of ass kicking music. This world seems a little quieter and less brighter without you. Bless you, brother....
Talk about being in "That Zone"! The Canuk Trio wowed the crowd like nobody's business. One can just SENSE the energy cascading from the Band & then cascading back to Rush..
I was just the right age for Rush's resurgence. I remember buying Vapor Trails when it came out. Right before my 18th birthday. I remember showing this dvd to my older brother who had kind of stopped listening to Rush at that point. This was right when everyone started going, "oh damn, Rush is back and better than ever!!"
"All the highlights of that headlong flight Holding on with all my might Some days were dark I wish that I could live it all again Some nights were bright I wish that I could live it all again" I wish you could too, Neil... 😢
I bet most of this fans weren’t alive when this song came out and yet you can see and hear how much they love not just this songs but the group, they just don’t make them like this anymore. Love the 70’s and 80’s rock❤️❤️.

RUSH fans are a breed of their own. At RUSH I was just like, "There I am. And that's me, too. We're all on the same page with Neil." The tone of conscientiousness was tangible. I'd say possibly the heaviest RUSH song is Natural Science, though a passage in Secret Touch verges on heavy metal. Every drum break on every song I know. The ending of Lock And Key - Awesome. Just when you think Neil can't play any harder, he does. Their MO is a progressive build up to an orgasmic flurry of musical interplay. MUSIC "Make Up Something Interesting & Complementary." - Neil.
This simply reminds me of my days as a bassist in 3 bands at once,as a pay-the-bills job! and rush was my biggest influence when I started my musical journey. They have got their thing together in this. Other bands are this tight live, but it takes hours of playing and lots of gigs in sheitholes
I had the pleasure of seeing them live several times but it pains me to know I will never see the three of them together live on a stage again. I feel like something has slipped away.
Neil hated to be glorified. That’s why he never met fans after their concerts. He felt uncomfortable with all the praise and accolades he got from fans. That wasn’t him.
One of my all time favorite bands that song came out when I was 13 , 55 now and my kids tell me to turn it down because it is too loud in the truck. I laugh and call them wimps.
When Geddy went digital Alex stayed with the stacks of amps. The stage seemed unbalanced . Geddy put the washing machines on his side of the stage to right the imbalance. Sometimes it was rotisserie chicken machines. Both were serviced by roadies during the show. Typical Rush humour, take the music serious...not yourself.😃
@@medmac2112 ooooooh! Hahaha thats pretty rad. And makes sence. I know a lot of stacks on the stage are just empty cabs for stage presents. But the washing machines are dope!

My son is drummer, Neil was his true idol. Was truly upset when Neil passed. All he plays is Rush can play others, but mostly Rush.
Your son is obviously very talented.

Respect Brazil. One of the best audiences I have ever seen at a Rush gig after 45 years as a Rush fan.
I was there! Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro, 2002. Amazing show. Amazing night! Unforgettable!
3 years ago Neil passed. The crowd vibe is unmatched, singing the whole song at the top of their lungs. #RIPNeilPeart
I’ll always have much due respect for Neil as one of the greatest drummers there ever was, but he always came across like a prick on his high horse.

Rush - a truly unique band, masterful musicians all, lyrically fascinating and a global following that spans decades that bands can only dream of.

I know im watching this stoned. Buuuuuuut are the washing machines have mic's hooked up infront of them? If so that is the coolest bass cab set up!
