Omg, Mr Murrah, please get yourself to Europe, your voice needs to be heard here. This is fan fckng tastic😍. I have been listening and watching countertenors for twenty years and your voice and stage presence is superb. ❤️
My life is forever changed. I literally stopped my child from errands and made her come sit down and witness this excellence. This is what happens when your support your gift with learning and practice. MY LORD! You honor creation with that voice.
Congratulations on winning the Houston Grand Opera competition. I've noticed steady improvements in your singing -- a more refined sound, better enunciation and more assured stage presence. Keep up the good work! With your voice and with dedication, you can make it to the very top. Keep working hard!
Più ti ascolto più penso che tu sia davvero strepitoso!!! Quando questa terribile pandemia sarà finita spero di poterti sentire anche in Italia magari in un bel recital alla Scala!!! Bravissimo!!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Mr. Murrah, I had the great pleasure of attending the Joyce di Donato master classes yesterday & today sponsored by Carnegie Hall. You and the other three singers were wonderful to hear as it was to be present as she guided each of you through your challenging selections with such insight and nurturing care. Amazing. You have a great gift and your generous spirit and musicality, along with your extraordinary voice, should bring you far. Thank you so much for sharing it all with us and the best of wishes to you on your journey. Bravo!
Those interpolated B's were absolutely stunning! Your high notes have more squillo than Fagioli's version and that is saying something. I love this aria and this is one of the best countertenor versions I've heard. Great work!
Josh, you can't really measure squillo through a recording, unfortunately. It does sound like a more powerful top, richer, indeed. But acoustics and quality of recording play a big part on that. I feel Mr. Key'mon's voice is somewhat more "natural" than Fagioli's. Even though both are terrific singers, I feel Key'mon is still very young and needs to polish a lot in that gorgeous instrument of his, not in terms of technique, but in style. A singer is much more than just a beautiful voice.
@@arthurfilemon6038 either way I think his placement and tone especially on those high notes is better than Fagioli. I definitely agree it's a more natural sound.
@@JackieLanceTenor totally, no doubt there. Seems more at ease even. It's just a long battle of connecting the lower to that gorgeous high. But I think that's the countertenor's burden.
@@JackieLanceTenor I pretty much believe he was born with that! Great round, precise and natural sound up there. Brilliant. You'll get it, Josh. Best of luck to you!
Just discovered you through Didonato's Masterclass. Rare to find a countertenor like you! Those velvety low notes, high notes, and a good trill! Much luck and success to you. :)
Beautiful, fantastic. Your voice is outstanding. You have a great career, an I hope you make some cds so I can buy them. Your piano player is great too. I wish you much happiness. Love, Jaya❤💜💐😅🥰
this dude is amazing...... I am more convinced than Ever that countertenors should be doing Rossini pants roles in these big houses.... i think He is one of them... such an easy top...
Keymon, congrats on winning the Houston contest. You deserved it. My recommendation to you: even though you nailed it here, bel canto is not very natural for your tessitura. Stick to Handel and Vivaldi and, believe me, you will have a very successful career in Europe, USA and elsewhere. I live in Houston and truly missed the concert of arias being open to the public this year.
@@keymonmurrah4420 and if you feel comfortable in that style and applauses keep coming, then follow what is best for you. All I can say is that your voice is pure gold. Good luck in your career.
Please excuse my analogy, but I feel Marilyn Horne has been reincarnated as this wonderfully talented young man. Then I came to the credenza I think Lucia Popp has a little influence there.
This is one of the most beautiful countertenor voices I’ve ever heard.
For real, he gave me goosebumps (in the good way).

Yours may very well be one of the richest countertenor voices in the world. Such control and texture and versatility. Stunning.
God has gifted us with a great and wonderful talent to be celebrated with the whole world. I wish you much success.
Just an extraordinary voice and the POWER! My goodness, just perfect Rossini!! ❤️

They need to come up with another word to classify Mr. Murray's voice. He is so much more than a countertenor.
Please excuse my analogy, but I feel Marilyn Horne has been reincarnated as this wonderfully talented young man. Then I came to the credenza I think Lucia Popp has a little influence there.
I love Lucia Popp, such musicality and dexterity.
