Ive seen short before. From what i gathered I believe the man that is next to the girl in the hospital bed is her boyfriend and he's kind of controlling and basically only loves her body and not her . I haven't seen the episode I've only seen it in shorts so very sorry if any information seems weird but unfortunately the lady does pass away and come to find out he actually never quit smoking.
