    wow that little bit about being "tone blind" was spot on. I've never heard anybody on RUclips talk about that before, but I absolutely experience it when I'm trying to decide between a million different cabs on modelling units

    What do I think? I think it is an AWESOME time to be a guitar player. There are sooooo many really cool pieces of gear being unleashed on the market these days. It can be difficult to choose.
    Where the heck was all this cool stuff back when I was touring in the late 80's?
    I'd have given my 1st born child to not have to lug that big Twin Reverb around with me everywhere I went...
    I hope this younger generation appreciates what they have available to them now!

    I have their Silver Linings pedal and it's my favorite! Sounds amazing and very flexible. I plug my Mustang Micro into it when I want to practice quietly or with headphones, though I'm curious if an onboard headphone jack like with the Simplifier is any better.

    impressive, if someone already had a nice pedalboard - would you say there better with this (or something of its ilk) then ditching the whole board for something like a QC / stage...?

    Rob, in its a small world, first, I have met Brian May (in 1994 while he was on solo tour) giving him a letter and CD from my band then. There was a tribute song to Queen called Her Majesty I wrote. Six months later he wrote me a letter (very kind and always a gentleman) and I still have the letter. I first saw Queen (Thin Lizzy opening) in 1977 in Dallas at age 12. My first concert. Also, just yesterday I was at GC in Dallas where I was buying a Lion but was telling them how I was able to get some nice tones out of a Katana 100 for home recording (using recording out). They mentioned Chapman guitars visit and request for Katanas (which helped sell 30 guitars in first day). I'll try this as well for home / home studio applications. Thanks and Cheers!

    Hi Chappers. Can you run this with a couple of 1x12 cabs?

  • @trevorD1156
    @trevorD1156 2 месяца назад +1

    I really want one of these but i went with the tonex one cause its half the price and has my amps. I think tonex sounds the best of any modelers ive heard, but having to be connected to my laptop, ipad, or iphone and the very occasional small lag glitches ruins it for recording. Fingers crossed hoping the pedal eliminates lag.

    New guy here. Could u play this into a speaker cab to play with your buddies garage band and if yes what kind would I buy ?

  • @MrMoneyHelper
    @MrMoneyHelper 13 дней назад

    Two amps blowing in the same venue probably means his tech didn't check that the right voltage and polarity was there.
    I want this or something like it for near silent playing. I'm a roommate in somebody else's house. I have a little 10 watt solid state stereo amp and can't use it because it is too loud. Hell, I was told that my laptop speakers were too loud after 11 PM.
    The demo by Anderton's sounded really good. This is on my want to buy list.

    I'm completely unaware how all the tech outside of a traditional amp works these days, and I'm looking for something that is easy to transport, that I can play without using a DAW through a pair of headphones and have the ability to have something to play along with, I see this has an aux input. Can I use this as a completely standalone device without any cabs or computers, just a pair of heapdhones and an aux in from phone or similar?
    Cheers!

    I’m an old singer songwriter. I dabble in jazz and blues. I don’t shred. I have a Katana 100 MKii and a Spark (and a few pedals). My case amp is a Fender Micro Mini. Why would I want a Simplifier X? To get the Vox and Fender Emulations? That may be appealing. There is another option burning up the internet-T#n#x ###. Probably not fair to mention here. I shouldn’t watch these channels. 🤪 I like Vox and Fender tones. I get close with what I have, I guess. The seemingly unlimited options are mind-bending. 😵‍💫 Thanks for the demo. 🙏

      That's respectable gear, as far as I'm concerned. I started on a Lotus strat copy in 9th grade back in 1991 and I recorded an entire album with a Zoom 505 in 2000. I'd upgrade your amp before anything else.

    I don't really buy the argument that you should keep one of these in your gig bag in case your main amp goes down; if your main amp goes down you need something that you're super familiar with in a live setting, so it has to be more or less the same thing (e.g. you use a breadbox and you keep a Kemper player in your gig bag). If you're getting an X, make it your main amp and really learn how to tweak it in a live setting: it's for people who want one signature sound when they play and can do everything else with other pedals but they want to be able to make subtle adjustments to their "global settings" on the fly. Then keep one in your gig bag in case the X on your board goes down!

      I contacted the company and asked the same question. They said that you need to connect it via the effects IN and OUT of your amp. It isn’t made to connect straight into the INPUT on the front of the amp. I hope this helps . If anyone has tried this could you reply and let us know how it works into an amp.
