Loved seeing your picks. I enjoy rose in all its many facets whether it's airy and light, classic or dark and dangerous. I have some new ones to sample now from your list as I have been curious about Hippie Rose and Rose & Dragon. Jezu, wygladasz 😍😍😍 Iga. Definitely into the darker roses myself. Although I do enjoy Eau Capitale... Totally with you on Vanilla Flash. Tons of layering combos with CDNI too. Potion Royal Black, Calligraphy Rose, and just picked up VC&A's Pour Homme again. 🖤❤️🖤❤️ oudVanille from Franck Olivier another great inexpensive take on Oud Bouquet. One of the best B-rolls I have EVER seen. 10 thumbs up! 💐

i love this list (well... that MONSTER Mon Nom... 😬😂). rose & dragon is indeed similar (NOT copy) to santal royal (siblings), very very nice. and i have to test memoir woman again, i really don't remember how it smells.

You are always on point, with your depictions, Iga. The "darker" side of rose is what it's all about. It seems like the use of rosewood has now migrated into niche territory, mostly.
A "masculine" rose I know very well is Lorenzo Villoresi Sandalo -though, a sandalwood centered scent, I'm pretty sure there's rosewood/rose.
Have mercy with those roses from the intro 🤣😂😆, they might as well be from my home country, Ecuador.

Funny thing is, that in nature, the smell of different varieties can be so different. Some roses have absolutely gorgeous smell, some of them are really not my thing, some don't smell at all. The one that Iike the least is rosehip. Thank you for your comment Ricardo :)
Iga, what a wonderful video! I also like dark roses with woody undertones (and I am also guilty of combining shirts with scents).
Can you believe it, I only know two fragrances from your list, but some made really made it on my list of fragrances to try. By the way, Tauer has got some great rose fragrances 😊.
So my favourite rose fragrances are Halfeti Leather by Penhaligon's (we still get to know each other, but this might be one for you as it’s dark, warm, and spicy), Portait of a Lady by FM, Road from Damascus by Lush (the entire rose bush seems to be bottled here), and Rose 31 by Le Labo (a postmodern rose on on ISO-E-Super-trip) and many, many more. Hmmm, I guess I also love roses 😊.

I must say i did enjoy Portait of a Lady. I also reallt liked Le Mat by Manditorrosa, nice herbal rose with tons of immortelle .
I will try to record something soon. I have a few ideas for videos, but it's difficult to decide what to do first.

Great video Iga! I totally forgot to mention Tobacco Rose from Papillon. Even though the rose and oud combo is a bit exhausted, I find Triad från Bortnikoff a real beauty too. Oh, and I love the use of the sacred and profane in this video, it's a really descriptive dynamic. Take care!

@@pixieandthenotes I'm not quite sure.... I have been enjoying Dancing Roses by Viktor & Rolf, but it isn't as rose as cherry. I have worn Dolce Rosa Excelsa for a long time too. I'm always looking for new scents though!

With pleasure Iga! Well, the first time I tried a sample of ‘’Une rose’’ I thought it was strange, almost unpleasant (maybe it’s this ‘’wine note’’ I thought). I wouldn’t have given it a second chance, but people around me were amazed, so I reconsidered it. And by the second wear, I loved it. It is not sweet, not earthy, not powdery, not juicy, not warm, not dark. It is a realistic rose (but not a granny rose) with some kind of acidity, sourness (it could be the geranium/wine). It’s quite plain and linear thought. Very long lasting. Since I’ve bought my FB, I’ve stopped wearing all my other roses…

I love your channel. I JUST discovered it and just subscribed. I see we have similar noses/tastes / skin chemistry based on your videos. (I binge watched your channel because we are very similar that it is uncanny). I plan on picking up some Carner, Tauerville, Pengaligon's, Heeley and Amouage decants. I see you mention these brands I will pick up the ones you mentioned throughout your videos. I need to be extra picky with full bottle purchases.... so I am focusing on performance (longevity/,sillage/head-turners) and will pick up samples of Rose & Dragon (did you try the whole darker bottle line)? I will get Vanilla Flash (Did you try all the Flash ones)?. Anything else you might recommend?. I plan on Interlude Woman (I love Memoire woman too), and Bracken. I love Sunshine Woman (& man. I own the man one). I need to sample first before I decide. Thanks, Iga. I am so glad I found you. :)
Welcome Sue, so nice to welcome you here 🥰 No, I havent't tried many from the Flash line, Tauer is really difficult to get hold of here in Poland. From the Carner dark line I have only tried Volcano and Black Calamus, I liked them, but wasn't blown away to be honest. I totally understand you, especially with those extremely expensive fragrances it's crucial to test and trial a fraggrance before pulling the trigger. I would recommend you trying Ivory Route from Xerjoff and Dama Bianca, huge love. My next review will be on Bracken :D I am really glad having you here, Sue 🥰.
@@pixieandthenotes Hi Iga! Oh thank-you. I have tried Ivory Route and do enjoy that one much. I have a small decant of it. I get lots of Frankincense (Boswellia Carterii species or an aromachemical resembling it) even though it's not disclosed. I enjoy it. I am working through the 3ml decant. I will try Dama Bianca. I haven't tried that one yet. I tried Pikovaya Dama and that is too soapy for my liking (smells like a fizzy/aldehydic luxurious hotel soap). Like you, I am not fond of soapy accords, even though this one smells like a put-together dressed-up woman. I have sampled quite a lot of Xerjoff’s. I noticed in one of your videos with your Marien/Maria friend and Adam that you are in Poland. Your accent doesn't match so I am curious. I am Ukrainian-Canadian. Born & raised in 🇨🇦. I speak Ukrainian (not as well as I would like) and understand a little Polish. I can pick up Russian too. P.S. I figure you must do a lot of sampling because I don't see any declutter videos (which is a good thing). I don’t want to bother with reselling perfumes, myself.

On some days I get a lot of incense inIvory Route, on others it's more in the background.
Yes, I sample a lot, I hardly ever blind buy and ususally don't rush. This year I got rid of or sold around 17 bottles, that weren't getting enough love, but usually I buy very carefully .

@@ritz_essence1547 You might really like Porpora, I enjoyed it. I wasn't love, but I found it interesting. Oud Satin Mood is amazung but it's too strong for me.

Hi "Pixie"! Oh my god, I have to share this right now as I'm disturbed by how terribly my skin chemistry has betrayed me with this one: Heeley's 'Hippie Rose'. Have you seen the movie 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'? There's this gorgeous, tanned, free spirited teenage hippy runaway who keeps seeing Brad Pitt driving around. She's in her crocheted bikini top and denim hot pants, all flawless toned limbs and silly dancing, flirting etc. Very cute, no make up, earthy mischief; I was hoping Hippie Rose would channel that era, that girl's vibe. That was the 'mood board' pinned where my mind's eye could study it. I was aiming for a fragrance that covered that particular free-spirited, youthful-yet-sexually aggressive feminine energy. You know what happened instead? James Heeley's Hippie Rose smells exactly like Dior's 'Fahrenheit' on my skin. I'm genuinely disturbed. I couldn't find a single comment online anywhere of this happening to someone else, so this hideous alchemy is of the darkest kind and reserved only for me to endure. SOS, mayday mayday! Has anybody else had this experience?! Have YOU had a similar experience with a much anticipated fragrance? I'd love to know what you were going for and what ended up happening ;)
Hi! First of all, yess!! that girl from the movie is exactly how I see Hippie Rose and luckily on me it smells kinda like that .
On the spot, i can't think of any fragrance that would be such disappointment (althouh Fahrenheit does't sound too bad). If I reall somethng, i will let yoy know.

I'm puzzled. Have you smelled Andy Tauer's Roae Flash? I love Vanilla Flash as well, but, Rose Flash is, to me, the only rose.
No, I haven't. I think he also has Une Rose Chypree Incense Rose and a few others.
What I mean is that to me Vanilla Flash is not about vanilla, but all about rose, tobacco and spices with vanilla somewhere in the background.
I get hints of a "red" note in Vanilla Flash, thought maybe cherry... .but rose makes so much more sense. And it would also be classic Andy Tauer to hide a rose in a bottle of boozy vanilla 🤩
