As a 77 year old retired session musician. I enjoyed your slow blues. I play extremely fast most of the time and after playing about 58 years professionally I really enjoyed listening to you. I am going to try and do some of the stuff you do. My opinion whatever it counts for. You are good teacher and pretty damn good.
Agree completely, Paul. Rusty can play it. I'm 74, been playing since I was 18, and for the number of years I've held a. guitar you'd wonder why I suck so much. I don't know. But Rusty certainly helps. Thanks, Rust. Johnnie
Being from Atlanta, you must be familiar with, IMHO, one of the greatest, pure blues players EVER, Sean Costello! (RIP) Once he took the stage he became , idk, possessed in & with the music! The live in Belgium is one of the best examples of how pure blues was meant to be…hands down🔥 The guy went straight into a Fender(Twin or Bassman) with, if I’m not mistaken, ONE pedal….a tuner! 🤯🤯. I graduated from AIM/GIT/MI IN 89. Back then there was a lot of confusion about whether it was AIM or GIT? I know my shingle says both🤷♂️ I was extremely fortunate to have Jimmy Herring as my daily instructor. Of course he hadn’t quite become THE Jimmy Herring for a few years but still , players knew who he was & I also knew he could nail any Dregs, Steve Morse song and I was a big Dregs fanatic!! I was trying to find a backing track but this popped up🤷♂️ I saw you’re in ATL & watched a bit . Take it easy✌️
I’m not going to claim to be a giant ZZ Top fan but I don’t see them as a slow blues group and didn’t know they even played that style. Every ZZ song I’ve heard is heavy blues rock and I love it.
Its cool since ive figured out wats going on..somewat...now to implement to memory..then muscle memory..definetly got some wings this?week..flying soon
6:22 uh did you miss the explanation on this, apparently im stupid bruh I have no Idea what you're showing here or where the pressure is on the strings
Cool lesson…how are you getting that tone (please don’t say your fingers)?
Strat and a Germino Classic 45. Thanks!
Billy turns the bass on his amps all the way up

Yes he was an amazing player! Too bad he left us so young. He had some of the best touch and feel I've ever heard.

Nice! Looks like your neck is not aligned?! Not much room for your high e?
It plays perfect for me. No issues with the high e.

You aren't showing where you apply pressure or explaining any hand positions. Extremely difficult for beginners
