Music theory is easy to comprehend using the Keyboard in the Key of C MAJOR/Amin
KEYS are just PITCH. The circle of 5th HELP some people keep track of MAJOR scale
in 12 different keys/pitch..via shifting ONE NOTE at a time.
    Mixolydian, maj7.
In a nutshell you can apply the same concept to other basic MODES within the Major
    scale..via shifting b7 into Maj7
It's just going to shift those 5 BLACK notes...a different way.
    aeolydian , maj7 = Harmonic min
    dorian ,maj7 = melodic min
    phry maj7 = Harmonic min b2
    mix maj7 = IONIAN
    loc maj7 = ion #6
modes from other scales ( it's still the same concept of rising b7 into Maj7)
    aeo b2.......aeo #4........aeo b5
    dor b2.......dor #4 dor b5
Everything just gets reshuffle using the same ROOT....such as FROM the relative minor
    aeo has b6.............................dor has maj6
    Harmonic min ........................melodic min
    Harmonic min b2....................melodic min b2
    Harmonic min #4....................melodic min #4
    Harmonic min b5....................melodic min b5
    mix b6, maj7 = Harmonic MAJOR
    or you can do this ( b3, b6, b7) A NATURAL minor.
These notes are also the SECOND ARPEGGIO of the 1, 4, 5 chords
    b3, b6, b7 natural minor A min D min E min
    b3, b6 Harmonic min A min D min E7
    b3 melodic min A min D7 E7
    b6 Harmonic MAJ A Maj D min E7
in a nutshell..The second half of the scale is slowing shifting UP into major intervals
or...just shift the BLACK NOTE UP one at the time
    G#
    F#, G#
    Melodic min #4 ( aka Lyd b3)
    D#, F#, G#
    if you C#, F#, G#...it'll simply be A MAJOR
    Mix b6, Maj8 = IONIAN b6 = HARMONIC MAJOR
    A Maj D min E7
    C#, G#
or you can push down from C MAJOR towards C min
    b6
    b3
    b3, b6
    b3, b6, b7
    b2, b3
    b2, b3, b6
    b3, #4
    b3, #4, b6
    b3, b5
    b3, b5, b6
it's just EASIER to modulate to different KEYS..back and forth on the fret.
Simply becuase CHORD/scale FINGERING patterns are the SAME.
    On the keyboard..it's visually harder.
All 12 notes and chord degree works...while in C MAJOR.
    They're call accidental notes/chord.
But you can INSERT those chords as ANYTYPE of CHORDs
    The 5 BLACK KEYS
    b2.......b3.......b5........b6.......b7
    Db.......Eb......Gb........Ab......Bb
Just get the BASIC of V into I
    Then practice PRE DOMINANT
    Db maj7 G7 into C
    Eb maj7 G7 into C
    Gb Maj7 G7 into C
    Ab Maj7 G7 into C
    Bb maj7 G7 into C
If you learn the Harmonic min or Harmonic MAJOR
the 2.....4......b6.......7 chord degree are all possible FULL diminished
    .......D F Ab B
    .......B....D......F.........G#
They OVERLAP in DIFFERENT KEYS...so it's just EASIER to memorized
    it as the 2, 4, b6 7....CHORD DEGREE
    example A min Bb7 into Eb maj7 F min Db Maj7 G7 into C
    Those same....D, F, Ab, B
could be use in Gb MAJOR/Eb min ( Harmonic min or Harmonic MAJOR.
or.........................F# min/A MAJOR....( F# Harmonic min or A Harmonic MAJOR)
That's your introduction to full diminished.
if you use FULL diminished H/W
you can stack MAJOR, min, DOMINANT or dim chords every b3 intervals too
VAMP it over the V chord.....
    G7 .........................E7
    G7 into C...............E7 into A
    G7.......Bb............Db........E7
    ............Bb............Db................N6 chords.
I showed you A lyd b3 for REASONS
You can also Vamp the FULL diminished H/W over the I or vi chord
    A min B7 into E Maj7 ( E Harmonic MAJOR)
    A min G#7 into C# min /E Maj7......F maj7 G7 into C MAJOR
The N6 chords overlap like this too....F whatever is also the N6 of E MAJOR or E min
    or like this
    A min C dim/G# into C# min D7 E7 into A minor. ( A melodic min)
    .....................................C# min D dim E7 into A min.....( A harmonic min)
    in a nutshell...you could vamp/sub
A min Bb dim C7 into F harmonic min
    A min Bb7 C7 into F melodic min
    Then
    F min Db maj7 G7 into C MAJOR...again if you wish.
    or this
    A min C dim Eb/D# dim E min F7 G7 into C min Db Maj7 Bb dim E7 into A min.
modulated through multiple KEYS and back to A min chord.
via vamping full dim from A min chord.
if you were use to practice/playing
Bb dim E7 into A min......as PREDOMINANT...you'll simply be USED to it or SEE it.

The thumbnail is kinda off putting. Would be better if it was viewed from a simple top down not the weird angle.
