Hi. I had to approach it in a slightly different way due to RUclips regulations. This is a coding video that covers how the fix is programmed. Use the information in whatever way you want. ruclips.net/video/oPg3iqKmDUM/видео.html
Honestly, the easiest way of doing all of this (getting your emulators up and running with a ton of time) up and running that I have found is to install Retrobat. The best thing about doing this is that once you have it set up it is incredibly easy to create Batocera images from the folder structure.
Let me start by first saying great video, and thank you much. So I was wondering what I would be looking at far as storage? Instead of using one of my internal drives, I plan to use an external source for this setup. Being the game head that I am, I plan to play many games from many different platforms. So I was wondering can I accomplish this with one of my 256GB drive sticks, or do I need to break out one of my TB portable drives?
Hi. It really depends on the games you want to play. If you're into the older pre PS1 consoles you only need 20-30GB to store absolutely everything. Another 40-50GB for all the arcade games. Once you get to the CD and DVD based systems you'll need upwards of 1GB per game. If you're using Launchbox you can install it and all the games onto an external drive and then just plug it into any PC and be up and running straight away (you might need to install .net runtime as well). Have fun!
Hi Kezz. Have you installed RetroArch and hooked that up to Launchbox? You'll also need to make sure that RetroArch has installed an emulator core for the console you want to run. The process is... Make sure Launchbox is set to use that core in RetroArch to play that console. Import the game into Launchbox - scan the rom folders. Play the game. I hope this helps. Is is a bit complicated to get a console set up but you only need to do it once per console. Good Luck!

I’ve only downloaded Atari and SNES games. However the games run very slow, and I don’t know what to do to fix the problem. Maybe it has to do with the RetroArch settings? I’ve looked everywhere for an answer, I hope you can help me, I would appreciate it.
Hi Ramon. Atari and SNES should be fine on most systems. Make sure you've not got some background tasks running, e.g. an update, or OneDrive sync going on. If you start up RetroArch you can go to the settings menu. The video section will probably be where you need to have a play. Have a look at your video output driver. There should be a range of options. I think it defaults to GL which I think is the OpenGL driver. Vulkan is supposed to be a well optimised driver. The d3d ones use DirectX. Have a play to see if switching has any effect. Make sure you return to the main menu and then select the Quit option to save the settings before starting up a game through Launchpad. Also make sure in the Video output section you've selected the correct graphics card if you've got more than one enabled. If all this fails have a go at installing the standalone emulators - search for SNES emulator and you'll find the actual project. These usually have more setup options for you to play with. Best of luck!
Hey, had the same problem and then I just lowered (in settings on Retroarch) the resolution to 1080p. It was on 4k, maybe because my monitor is 4k. Since I lowered it it works flawlessly. Hope this helps.

I'm using a pc with windows 10 and a matricom wireless controller.
Most of your games are probably running in RetroArch. It looks like that is not picking up on your controller settings. First use the Windows USB game controller settings to confirm that Windows is picking up the controller. If that's OK you need to start RetroArch from outside of Launchbox. Just go to the installation folder or look for the app in your start menu. This will get you to the RetroArch control panel. Go to settings - input - port 1 controls and then map your controller and buttons. I hope this helps.
@@BytesNBits I tried mapping them. The controller actually controls both the Launchbox and Retroarch menu screens fine. It just doesn't seem to be configured for any games, even after that. And Retroarch looks empty. Also, the games open in a separate window without any cool borders or anything. And it's SO SLOW when it runs. It took me 10 hours to load all my stuff on my computer yesterday and now I feel like I should just stick with retroarch alone. I'm very confused.
And it's a bluetooth controller. Should I still check Windows USB controller settings? I will say I've had Retroarch on my Android box for years with no issues but I never used it on my PC and never even tried Launchbox til yesterday. I spent hours watching all the tutorials and such, and more hours trying to fix the controller issue (same controller I use on the android box to play).
@@Jakethehitman73 Which console / system are you trying to emulate? If its arcade using Mame you'll need to set up mapping within Mame. Run a game and hit the TAB key.
You'll get the Mame menu pop up. Use the player 1 general controls to map your gamepad - the general (or soemthing like that) will set the default mappings which you can override with the per game settings.
@@Jakethehitman73 I think you've mentioned elsewhere that the controller works for the menus. I've left a comment on another thread.
18:55 did you ever give out these instructions?
Hi. Yes but someone complained that I was encouraging people to break the law by downloading games and RUclips removed the video. Usually I make a blog post for each video on my bytesnbits.co.uk website - I hope I remembered to remove that :)
@@BytesNBits ok I LOL’d at that.. thanks
I see the game in my launchbox but I can get it to play
Which system are you emulating?
I got lost halfway through 🤦
Have another go. There is an updated version of this as well.
I turn my pc into a ps5 with playnite
That sounds great. You must have a powerful PC!
