Thanx again, Chad for saving me money - I just finished doing my other door handle that broke. My after market part did not fit exactly - the plastic locking notches did not match the slots in my 04 Tundra so I cut them off with small clippers. Also, helpful hint when putting door cover back on: make sure the removable red fasteners are all on the door cover - if not pry them off and put them in place on the door (I had several that had to be taken off the door and placed on the door cover - if this is not done, its hard to pop the door cover on correctly. Also, when putting the door cover back on start with the top so that it fits over the lip correctly. I’m not mechanical so this video was extremely helpful 👍👏👏👏

I just carefully pry out of the handle housing. Its been awahile since I did it so I can't remember exactly. Look at it closely, see what holding it then carefully pry its way out of it.
