      She sold NVIDIA and her prediction went from 50% compound growth in 2021 (When she did a video saying not to sell ARKK at 105) and now predicts 15% returns. So, if you didn't sell in 2021 it would take until 2028 to simply break even with Arkk. Those things should matter to you....

      @@littlebob1261 that’s why it’s important to watch how much you allocate to those growth plays and rebalance the portfolio as the market changes. The cost of holding is so important to consider for sure. Many traders lack that discipline.

      Thats the whole point as to why they're doing this. This is a methodical demolition of the USD so they can
      1, collapse the dollar
      2, skirt the massive debt
      3 be able to turn on and off the digital printing press (CBDC)
      4, usher in the US public enslaving US cbdc. Central bank digital currency complete with expiration dates, cant save money, and absolute control over what you can buy, programable so you can only buy what they deem as good for you!٪%$
      5, to completely remove any and all rights you had bestowed upon you as a natural born USA citizen.
      6, welcome toorson wells 1984 but in living color as opposed to a back and white paperback.
      7, dont believe me? It would behoove you to grab a pen and paper, get some privacy browser or the dark web and you'll discover this evil being thrust upon us for yourself. Only the rich that are heavily invested in precious metals and certain specific digital assets or the elite invested in large amounts of certain assets and people with dual citizenship to certain brics countries and those that saw this coming and invested your money i to other countries for multiple citizenships with money to be able to buy your way around the laws leaving the evil i. • @jlgpianokeys
      @jlgpianokeys 9 месяцев назад

      You need to watch how much you’re allocating in those funds. Everyone is aiming to beat the market but in doing so, they make decisions like this and wonder why they aren’t doing so great. As a rule of thumb, you need to have 80% of your portfolio in the SPY which is an index fund of the S&P with a Roth or Simple IRA account and maintain that 80% every quarter. The other 20%? Use that portion for growth picks. Doesn’t have to be an index fund like SPY or a fund like ARKK. It could be crypto, or whatever stock you want to own that you believe will be around for the next 50 years but only 20% goes to that.

    Football Analogy. For any NFL Fan, we've witnessed Team Owners attempt to tell the Coaches and other X's and O's People how to do "x, y, z" associated with what's happening on the field and that NEVER works as a matter of fact it always seems to have the opposite desired effect.
    Personally, I thought TESLA was making upscaled RC Cars that people could drive until I talked to my cousin who had one then I decided to watch an annual TESLA presentation. Since I'm a Wireless Electronics Technician I was really impressed. I've been here ever since. I have to say the technologies ARK is involved are impressive and the universal analogy that the Science Community draws to Boolean Logic functions in the Biology Space makes lots of sense. Everything else concerned with the Economy, I'm unable to quantify save for in my own life and I have a very conservative outlook.
    The Rapper Ice T said this when doing his first record deal "You either think I have good hand grenades or you don't. If you do not think I have them... I'll leave". I think ARK has "good hand grenades".

    • @Aubatron
      @Aubatron 10 месяцев назад +1

      Why? The high interest rates have already been priced into the stocks ARKK holds. If the earnings of a business are going to keep declining, that is priced in already. Selling, then re-purchasing when interest rates drop is a sure way to sell low and buy high. It is why the macroeconomics approach doesn't work, because every institution is doing it, and all future expectations are already reflected in the stock price.

    I do enjoy these sessions Cathie, although I disagree with several areas. A "Redefinition Decade" is in front of us. 1. One that will see young people get more involved with politics due to economic pains of inequality ending in changes in government, 2. a "Maturing of technologies (EV, AI, Grid, Bitcoin) aligned with energy consumption, 3. Deflation of asset bubbles (Stocks, Real Estate, Cryptos) but a persistent growing Energy/Labor inflation coupled with a long-term (Decade) GDP global decline, 4. A refocus away from Bitcoin as a currency and wealth asset caused by Miner infrastructure failures/business model to a 'Tokenization, Tracking, Verification, etc" use, 5. A new focus on "Distributed Energy Production" in Fuel Cell use and small nuclear energy, 6. A recognition that the new "Growth Company" is your "Electric Utility". I would love to have a session to debate you on Bitcoin and why I think it's the "Treason Coin" of America and will never be allowed to have mass adoption.

    My two cents is that a lot more people are working remotely which also contributes to the demand destruction for gas. There is also a lack of frivolous spending that happens when you work from an office. The shift to electric is still a pipe dream if you live outside of the city. The impression I get from her videos is that everyone is switching to electric but the reality is that 90% of the cars in the road if not more are still internal combustion. Auto sales are dropping simply because they're just too damn expensive. The average cost of a new truck is anywhere from 70,000 to 100,000 dollars.

    Clearly the rise in long term yields suggests to me that no one is interested in buying U.S.’s debt and also that the Fed, as usual, over-corrected. Well the 10-year gapped up. Not a good sign for stocks in the near term when the yield increases in long term bonds not only suggests that U.S. debt is not wanted but also that now the market is in control, not the Fed. It’s likely to the point that the Fed can be of no use to the U.S. anymore when the annual percentage rate alone on the debt is at 1 trillion dollars. The only way out of this is if the U.S. is resilient enough to withstand higher for longer interest rates, through growth. The U.S. needs to grow its way out of it. I worry that a higher number of retired individuals are going back to work due to not being able to pay their bills and living expenses and that the number of those going back to work out of retirement is going to keep increasing.

      You need to watch your allocations in your shoot for the moon bets. Best way to do that is to keep 80% in the S&P at all times and allocate your remaining 20% to shoot for the moon bets. You can do part of that in the QQQ and another part of the 20% in single stocks.

    The ARK funds are NEGATIVE over the past 5 years. The problems are that their models don't take into account interest rates (unbelievable for these type of funds), their lack of large cap tech stocks (except Tesla) and their self imposed limit of 10% in any one stock to lure institutional investors...all have conspired to severely damage performance. They have literally been selling good performing stocks to invest more in low performing stocks. Would have done much better with an index fund. So while Cathy understands disruptive technology, there is a major disconnect with building a proper portfolio.... and she's been way off in predicting lower interest rates (and continues to be way off).

      The world is full of ups and downs.
      But I suppose you have never been down in the markets or crypto because that would make you a hypocrite.
      Cathy is still in business doing what she does best. Her outlook on the future of AI, cryptocurrency and electric innovation has been excellent although, I don’t believe electric innovations has hardly peaked yet. Bottom line is, no one can be right all of the time and she doesn’t criticize you like you do her!

      @@michaelkeppler6593 there was a mass flight to safely that involved dumping the more volatile smaller cap growth stocks in favor of the larger cap companies, and most of arks companies aren't that. that was a reaction to a historic and impossible to predict event

    I completely disagree with the notion that because USD is going up on Forex exchanges that somehow equates to increased purchasing power for US consumers. Purchasing power has substantially decreased since 2009. The Forex markets are manipulated to benefit importers and/or exporters. If USD is so strong (up 40%), why are consumers paying 50-100% more for goods and services compared to 10 years ago? It doesn’t add up. USD could spike another 40% and 99% of the US population would still be losing purchasing power to inflation. The real disconnect is between the 1% and everyone else.

    I haven't finished this but I hope Cathie admits the future is looking dicey. US birth rate is projected to be 1.75 by 2030. Would this be enough to maintain the GDP growth levels to pay down our debt? If we don't do something, it could be the end of the USA.

    How can inflation come down if base metals, energy and green transition materials require much more capex to boost production of those raw materials for a growing economy? More likely, we need an energy breakthrough before deflation can occur.

    Question: Why do you have to reduce your Tesla shares when Tesla is going up and your other holdings do not keep up? It seems that us holders are then not getting the benefit of Tesl's continued movement upward while everything else is losing ground. It just seems rhat holdings in the other sectors are draging Ark down with them and losing out on all of Tesla's gains over time. I realize the 10% rule but it makes me wonder why you keep Tesla when it seems to be in a different class than everything else Ark owns.

    • @thekongstocks
      @thekongstocks 10 месяцев назад +1

      HMMM, excellent question but on the flipside, I believe she's taking profits as she's reducing her holding size but what's more important is what she is doing w/ the funds a.k.a. profits? If she's averaging-down on her losers in order to break-even & minimize risk or buying other 'multi-baggers' then it might be worth it but until we understand what she's doing and why she is doing it then it's difficult to criticize. [P.S. Many successful investors/traders try their best to stick w/ a winning strategy because if you deviate from it then you'll start making the same potentially bad decision of being greedy - what if Tesla crashed? You wouldn't be commenting and since it didn't falter, the investor/trader will be tempted to go "all-in" on the next Tesla of the future...just food for thought...GOOD LUCK!]

    Treasuries, 20% in defense stocks. She bought twilio. My guy talks simple, bond market is not supposed to trade like a penny stock, war risk, inflation job losses (see Nokia recently 14k layoffs). She says it’s a mess out there but holds risk on stocks? Why? She thinks will grow and thinks this will solve are debt? That’s a lot of thinking/hoping. Think!
