Back when I was counseling neurological patients, as a psychotherapist, I was constantly citing role models. At the time, it was Christopher Reeves. We each have a very special path to travel. Whether one achieves ambulation and physical mobility, or not, it is the inner journey that matters. I know it sounds corny, but it's true. When I unexpectedly became paralyzed, from several autoimmune diseases converging with spinal injuries, including neurological, I have been able to champion myself. What the medical professionals prognosticate for me, is a slowly life terminating experience. Not for me. I'm getting better.
