Yes, Laura Bretan is religious. She had her first performances as a singer in a Pentecostal Church in Chicago (USA) as a child at the age of eight. She was born in the USA, but her parents are from Romania and therefore Laura speaks Romanian fluently. At the age of 13, she took part in the Romanian TV talent show "Romania's Got Talent" and won. Also at 13, she took part in the talent show "America's Got Talent", received a golden buzzer and came sixth. She still supports her church today by taking part in free concerts by the “Bethany United Chicago” choir as a star singer
thank you for appreciating... and yes... c0z sometimes God doesn't give you things that you want.. but rather give you things that he wants for you... and you know its way way better... again thank you.... tc
Iam ver glad that you enjoyed this song as much as I do ( and Lauras terrific way of performing it). While she is performing this song, one time at least, she did got overwhelmed so much by the emotional message of this song that she had to hold back the tears while pausing for a moment, showing how much she is evolved. These are moment in music as well as this performance is that the world we live in is still in parts intact and so beautiful, if we wish for it to be. And Laura is a great messenger for these values.
Laura is a great singer from Romanian parents born in Chicago (like Haley...), I discovered her a while ago and have subbed her channel, but haven't listened to many of her songs yet, I'm so busy with my other queens and favorite reaction channels. But as I love her voice and you're one of my fav channels def, I'll be here whenever you do another Laura...
If there is anybody who didn't know Laura for the most part is self-taught. She loved to sing and when she gives full vent to her voice the results a dramatic, as you can hear. She has always had some issues with breath control mainly due to nerves. But she has gotten much better with singing in her 'normal' voice, which she has learned she can sing and use less air thus giving more air at the end to finish the phrase. Laura's potential is off the charts and I hope the people at her label will invest in her so she can fully spread her wings. She deserves it. Brother I have tried to find the path God had for me, and all I ever found were dead-ends. Either I am stupid, which is entirely possible, or not paying attention. In any event I've reached the ripe old age of 71 and still haven't found my "calling". I know enough about a lot of things to be dangerous and enough to get myself, and others, in trouble. But then maybe my calling is to be sick and inept. I seem to be very good at both but especially the latter one. The title means 'the way of the blood' or "way of sorrows" and it helps understand the 12 stations of the cross.
Thank you David for sharing this to me.. i’ve been through alot in life too.. and i always believe that the moment you feel so heavy? That’s the time God is carrying you... “footprints in the sand” and no matter what your going through before pr right now God is with you.. and one of the reason why artist like Laura and other great artist exist is for you to see the miracle created by God.. that is why they inspire us when we listen to them.. always remember that the purpose of your life is not for yourself, but you to others.. so continue to spread love coz that is what so many now needs.. a smile to a stranger is already the most simple yet powerful thing we could do to others and that is free.. tc my brother David.. see yah again on my next reaction
"Via Dolorosa," in Latin, means "the way (or road) of sorrow (or suffering)." The song is about Jesus walking the path from judgment hall to Mount Calvary, while bearing His cross, to be crucified. As a devout Christian, Laura is meaning and feeling every word she is gloriously singing!
@@musicandvocals143 , yes, we definitely need more people of character and Christlike values, like Laura Bretan and Amira Willighagen, in the music industry! Thanks for your reply! I wasn't sure if you would see it! God bless, and I wish you much success with your channel!
Another great reaction video. From a classical perspective, I've heard better in terms of technique. But as far as emotion and passion, Laura definitely puts all of her heart into the song and it is felt throughout. I think that's one of the things that makes her a great artist and why so many really like her. She's got the guts to pull off the kind of music that isn't easy, and she just… Puts her whole voice and heart out there. That's to be commended. I also love how you promote her work and encourage everyone to subscribe to her channel. She's definitely got something worth listening to and appreciating.
thank you for that insight.. i will check them out.. I appreciate these artist who produce real music like Laura and the rest of the artist that we admire..
@@musicandvocals143 , Amira Willighagen is a Dutch girl who won Holland's Got Talent at age 9 -- after teaching herself opera by watching RUclips videos! Literally! Her audition was "O Mio Babbino Caro," which blew everyone away! She just turned 18 in March, and did a concert as part of her birthday celebration. In that concert, she sang "Nearer My God to Thee," which had me in tears. She currently lives in South Africa with her Mom and brother. At age 10, she started a foundation called "Gelukskinders Foundation," which raises money to build playgrounds around South Africa for underprivileged, poverty-stricken children & schools. To date, she has built and opened approximately 16 playgrounds! Just a beautiful young lady of faith with an awesome, loving humanitarian spirit! Also, if you want to check out Jonathan Antoine, watch his duet audition with his friend named Charlotte on Britain's Got Talent several years back. He was 17 and nervous as a cat in a dog kennel in that performance, but has a stunning, Pavarotti-style voice! The duet was "The Prayer." He is now in his 20's, a very humble, generous, kindhearted young man who has performed all over the world as an operatic and classical crossover artist. You should also hear his rendition (from a year or two ago, I think) of "Unchained Melody." It is absolutely indescribable! Sorry my comments are so long! Thank you!
@@johnbattles1002 Any child able of singing the vocal register of classical music before puberty has done quite a lot of light vocal training for this. Don't believe anything they told and you should know that both of Amira's parents are musicians. That will be a bad idea. Dimash is already the absolute master wizard of vocal technique, being capable to change even his natural voice no matter the register. That means over twenty years of hard work and talent. Laura is only gifted, and her vocal technique is far to be at master class level. She has still problems of breath while singing and, after so many years she doesn't know the technique to project her voice.
Única incomparable espectacular talento total irrepetible Laura 1cada 100 años eterna

Thank you.. she is amazing

agree on that.. they should do that.. and it’s gonna be crazy!
