Most people don't understand, you don't have to be smart to get into an Ivy League school. Its how much work you do and how much money your parents have. Minus the ones who really deserve to go to schools like Harvard, like the ones who work multiple jobs and put in the work to get a specialty degree that other colleges don't offer. Literally, they may offer more classes, but I can take the exact same basic courses that teach the exact same stuff at my local University as they teach at Harvard. That is not true. I know people, who are legacies to these schools and their relatives donate millions of dollars, that are still turned away. Buying your way in is not how everyone gets in. My friend that goes to Stanford says it is the hardest thing she has ever done. These schools can say perfect SAT and perfect GPA aren't good enough, you need to be remarkable to get in. Bullshit if you think Arizona State gives the same education. When high school valedictorians are struggling to keep a 2.5 GPA at college, its clearly much more challenging than a school that takes any C student from high school and gives them a 4.0. Top schools look for the very best in the world.
