Hi, it will be interesting to see how long it will take that previously burried cattleya growth to green up! :) I like pumice as well, but a bit hard to come by good pumice here in Norway.... Hope all the orchids will do well for you! :D
Funny you mention that growth! Because it was completely deep purple the next day! I did give it way to much light.... But it is still alive! It is now in a more shaded aria in the greenhouse... poor growth LOL... About the pumice, perhaps you can find it in your local garden centre? I find it in the section where you get your pond stuff, media, baskets, etc.... The bigger stuff I find there and way cheaper then online :D

Ik vraag het omdat ik het helaas niet kan vinden in de tuincentra om mij heen ( in de buurt van Amsterdam ) , dus ik heb het bij Amazon gekocht (wat erg duur is) :(
Wat leuk om te lezen dat ik je kon helpen hiermee! Ik vind het bij de tuincentra maar dan bij de afdeling voor de vijver. Het wordt daar verkocht als een substraat, bodem, voor in je vijver. It is that I only paid 5 euro´s for it, otherwise I would have send "an email"!.. I never had it this extreme, it is ridiculous! But like I said, it didn't cost me much luckily.

Boy that is terrible that they sent you that Dendrobium like that because none will be blooming size for a while.
