It turns out they added the second brake to make the machine compliant with the CE safety standard. I kinda understand but surely they could have put some sort of defeat switch on there to enable blade tracking to be adjusted. Oh well, other than that it's still a great bandsaw 🙂
That’s a really weird design. I can’t imagine how you could change and adjust a blade without being able to move the flywheels by hand. 😡
