I absolutely adore the dazai audios from Erin and team. The scripts are so thoughtful and capture his scheming, teasing, caring, good, evil and hurt sides. Idk man he’s a very deep and complicated character. And then the voicing and editing bring it so well to live. It’s just chefs kiss every single video.
Okay, so I enjoy writing and making characters and all that, so I often imagine my characters in these audios rather than myself. I have a character named Kanta who is my Sona I guess, and this fits her PERFECTLY. She's not human, but rather a spirit possessing the body of a puppet and she hides her trauma and all that behind her constant pursuit of perfection. The lines "I have neither happiness nor unhappiness, everything passes" and "I am afraid because I can so clearly see my life rotting, like a leaf rots without falling as I pursue my existence day after day" are very like her, for the reason that she despises emotion, she finds no purpose in them. They make her feel weak and that's something Kanta physically can't handle, despite the fact she feels about everything so utterly strongly, I think her and Dazai would really get along with not just their contrasting personalities, but the different routes they took when hiding their past suffering or current. He hides behind humor and puts on the face of a clown while Kanta does her best to hide the fact she can't or doesn't like to, show emotion, with perfection.
I'm sorry, I didn't think it'd be this long. It's almost 10. I have school tomorrow, and I haven't been able to write or anything like this for a while, but I got super motivated despite being 3 seconds away from falling asleep.
I am absolutely dumbfounded by how well you wrote Dazai in this audio, I have to say that your Dazai audios are the best out of any other ones that I've heard so far, it actually feels like his character as well as almost sounding like him, I'm impressed! Keep up the amazing work!

I was NEVER a Dazai fan (for his suicidal tendencies) but I decided to give it a go because the Chuuya audios were so good and now, after the "I'd never lie to you."... I'm in tears. (My first and only ex is a *professional* liar so this gave me a personal blow. T_T)
Dazai oddly enough is my comfort character.. as bad as it sounds. Some days i just wish he was a real person sometimes because of comfort in a way would be alright at least(hopefully)
