Started with rega p3 in 1986, was happy until i got to try a PJ with acryl/glass plinth, never going back to rega. still have a PJ debut evo, but went into suspension "modus" with oracle in 2014. Project makes tt fun again without empetying your pockets🎉

I have the version with the previous s-shape arm and have been very happy with it. It’s excellent value for the money.
Back then it was advertised as having strategically placed metal balls in the chassis. I’m curious if you changed this for this new version?
Also, is the Power Box RS Uni TT a worthwhile upgrade to this, if the board generates new AC anyway?
    Thanks!

I have a Project Xtension 9S Shape and with it I did not make the mistake as for my phono stage RS2 to buy an expensive original power UNI supply, but I ordered a linear power supply with a R transformer from AliExpress and I am extremely happy and satisfied!

I was and i am still fan of pro-ject, i had few, but sorry for final i choose Thorens TD 1500 because of sub chassics) anyway your turntables are fantastic!

TD 1500 is my dream/next turntable. I´m thinking of pairing it with Pro-jects DS3 B phono stage in order to use xlr output with an mc cartridge. My 33+ years old Bang&Olufsen RX2 (also sub chassis) has seen better days :D
Have you got Any regrets about the TD 1500 ? Are you using xlr cables ? and mm or mc cartridge ?

@@elCaxi1971 Hi. No i am using stock 2m bronze and rca cables. Sound is fantastic, really. Like there something, Thorens sound character in all records. However, yes technically this turntable is not perfect, i mean motor and optical sensor stabilization, it take around 10-12 seconds to reach 33.33, when you start it accelerates to 39-40 rpm, then in 10-11 seconds slowly going to perfect 33.33, it works but if sensor see that speed changed for example 33.31 it increase speed again to 33.33 increasing wow/flutter to 0.2% for few seconds. So obviously if i had enough money i prefer TD 1601 with classic motor.

I am planning to have a demo of TD 1500 next month at a local dealer, so i will get to see how it works in real life :)
1601 is too expensive for me too, especially with the new TP 160 tone-arm.

@@elCaxi1971 yeah its pretty depressing))) i really like 1601 with tp 160 look. Even more than td 124 dd. Actually i hope there will be td 125 reincarnation possibly TD 1250 or something like that)

Just when I had saved up enough to get an Extension 9 EVO with a S-shaped arm, they took those arms off the market for 5 years. I was then forced (much to my ire) to get something else. And now the arms are back!?!?! Pro-Ject SUCKS!
