    At least Saudi Arabia awarded him the gold medal reward which is almost 1.3 million dollars, plus many business men in the country gifted him large sums of money

      Does anyone know Iranian state media reported on this.
      Someone in the comment section, wrote that the Saudi athlete received his government winner's reward and bonuses. So was curious how the Iranian state reported the gold medal been awarded

    If the guy from Saudi Arabia accepted it and didn’t file an appeal then he agrees with the call. He had the right to file an appeal and declined so that should say something. The guy from Saudi Arabia accepts the call and that shows class and respect for the the judges, the Olympics rules and most of all himself.

      He didn’t appeal because he knows that the Turkish referee robed him once and they would robe him twice if he appealed. Also it’s not the ways of the Saudi to moan and complain!

    As one of the comments said I love karate me too and also I play it since long time but what I saw was unfair play.
    The medal was supposed to go to the Saudi player without any doubt, there was a clear injustice, so that he was superior at all times of the match.

    The hit that ksa hit happened to me in the training fight we fight and then I got hit the same way but I didn’t fall down I just got pain

    A total farce because the rules did not mention anything about pulling the power of kicks! Anyway karate should never be in the Olympics.

      @@jamesinez2727 Because in order to conform with Olympic requirements Sport Karate has been changing it rules every year for the last few decades - chasing a useless goal really. Making the already widely popular sport more stupid isn't going to actually help it.

    This was so unfair like bruh if you go watch the slowmo clip of this it's clear that red launched a perfect well controlled kick but blue was so sloppy that man legit dived into reds perfect kick it's blue's momentum into the kick that has knocked him out NOT Red's kick that's "too powerful". Man didn't deserve the dq...
