It's one thing for a woman to only care about the money. It's quite another thing to expect a woman to not care about your work ethic, earning potential and how you handle money. I would fully EXPECT a woman to care about those things and would not consider one who didn't care. My wife wanted to be a stay-at-home mom. That's what we both wanted. Therefore, my ability to make $$ (eventually) was important. She was not able to stay at home until almost 6 years into the marriage and a year after our first child was born, but she hasn't looked back since.

It’s not lost on me that men can want a woman who cooks (1 thing), cleans (2 things), births multiple kids (at least three things), maintains weight post pregnancy (4 things), drives the kids to all their school, sport and doctor appointments (at least 5 things), does the shopping for in-house hold items whether it be food, snacks, sanitary items, back to school shopping (6 things), is ready to have s3x whenever he wants it despite women generally having lower libidos on average (7 things), but whenever women want a man who provides (1 thing) with people act like they are demon spawns.
Too many dudes feel entitled to take from women without giving anything in return. Even in the first reply they named 1 thing for men (providing) and three things for women (loving, beautiful, kind). VERY IMPORTANT FOR YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN! All the good ones get snatched up in their 20’s. Many times those good ones get cheated on and hurt in their 30’s, and now they have kids. In their 40’s they are “finding themselves.” In their 50’s they decided they don’t need anyone. In their 60’s they are lonely and realizing death is a decade or 2 away, and don’t want to die alone. My point is in your 20’s you need to focus on finding the right one, not finding one for right now. Your partner is WAY more important than getting college degree, the perfect job, etc. the right partner will make your life picture perfect, the wrong one can give you herpes from cheating on you, bankrupt you in divorce and keep you from seeing your children. Choose wisely. Your partner is THE most important decision you will make in your life

If they mention work-life balance or being able to earn enough to support a family, they are probably family-driven, but not afraid of work. If their avoid the question or mention other life goals apart from their career, they have no interest in working and would rather stay at home while you provide monetary support for the family.

The problem isn't him dating somebody simple like a waitress that doesn't make a lot of money. His problem is that he seems to flaunt how well he is doing which will then attract a certain type of person.
Also just because you found someone that makes the same or more than you doesn't mean it is better for you. Hell, look at Ben Affleck and JLo. She makes more than him and wants like half of his money in divorce. Again, it comes down to the type of people that you attract.

Marriage, kids, etc. If he’s dating someone and she’s asking for him to go to 5 star restaurants, buy expensive gifts, dresses in name brand clothing but doesn’t have her own income, stays at the nail salon, shops constantly then she prob won’t line up with his financial priorities.

You have to differentiate your business from personal life, majority of men/women can’t do that, they like to mix it up. When it come to your business focus on numbers, when it comes to your personal life focus on how you feel about the person and do things that make each other feel good. When I read that title I thought he was talking worth over a million... When he said 130K, I was like meh, that's well for his age, but not really that impressive. He sounds like one of my old boyfriends, everything was about how I am using him for his money, to drive etc. Meanwhile I owned my own home, had my own car, had a decent paying career etc. He wanted to go on a weekend away to a casino and I made it clear I wasn't interested in going to the casino for a couple nights, thus I wasn't willing to pay for it. He CHOSE to pay for it and then told me he paid so I had to follow his rule the hole time. Then he invited me to an out of state wedding for HIS friend and co worker and then bitched in a condescending way that I should not expect him to drive the whole way there and back.. Then he told me if we had kids I would be a stay at home mom, not asking me what I wanted, it was all about what his plans were. I think his self worth was so low he wanted someone who was dependent on him for money, but also made me sound like I was constantly using him for whatever.... Needless to say I was like yea, I am having my own career and the ability to support myself, and I am allowed to shower alone (yes, he wouldn't even let me shower alone when we went away because he paid for it). Anyway to the caller you sound exactly like this person, IF YOU THINK EVERYONE IS AFTER YOUR MONEY, YOU WILL NEVER SUCCEED AT DATING!! Women are capable of making their own money these days!!

If you are a transactional person, you might decide to look for someone who has as much money as you so you won't resent them. If you find value in other qualities that can't be bought, that is when your money won't matter. You should find a woman whose qualities are not transactional. She probably would prefer a guy who will actually love her instead of buy her things. Gifts are nice, but if they are given with resentment, they are worthless no matter how much you paid. I hope you understand what I am talking about. It really is the thought that counts! That is still true, even if the person receiving it was not worthy of the gift. There is also more happiness in giving than there is in receiving. Try giving with no expectation of receiving in return sometime.
