You are the best ...less talkative more informative
Thank you!
Saved me so much time. What took me 3 hours to complete my homework only took me 1 hour because you provide good examples that I can re-apply. I wish you were my professor for all my classes
I had the hardest time with trying to come up with goodwill and you made it easier than how my teacher explained it to me! Thank you.
When you hear "In this video, we're gonna talk about..." and you know that you're going to understand accounting
It seems like it 😊
Edspira is the reason why I am still able to follow my passion in accounting. Thank you!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR VIDEOS! I got an “A” in my final exam in accounting! 😇
Sir, you are the best! Thank you!
Man your videos are sooooo awesome. Im studying for my CPA exam and I'm using your videos instead of the dumb CPA videos I have from my review course.
The best breakdown of goodwill, TY! Helped me out especially for clarity in my advanced accounting class, the books do no justice!
Thank you very much very much for your simple and clear explanation. I never figured out what "goodwill" means before this video.❤
Thank you very much for this video. now I finally figured out how to get that goodwill
Great video, things are learnt best in short chunks like this!
Awesome. I'm glad this format works for you. Best of luck to you in your studies!
It's very helpful and straightforward! Kudos! Keep up the good work, mister!
You help me a lot with my ACCA studies. Many thanks for that!
Superb explanation Sir. I'm from 🇮🇳. I became yur fan after listening this concept.
Thank god for this video. Learning accounting this was the most confusing and unclear topic that my professor seem to gloss over.
Very simple and helpful explanation. Thank you so much!
Thanks Daniel!
Finally understands the reason behind the equation! Thanks

Best prof and the best school 🙏
Thank you so much. Very clear
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks a lot Sir , had a tough time understanding this but you made it lot simpler.
Thanks for this! You should note that goodwill is amortized for tax purposes though.
Excellent video...thank you so much.

Love you! Tq so much! Finally I understood
Thanks a lot for all these videos. It makes life so much better. I have a question though. So where does owners equity fit into the picture? Thanks in advance😀
Sir, you explained it very well.Thank you
Dude this really cleared my concept ! Thanks a lot ❤️
So what would the journal entry be for this transaction, including goodwill?
Do you have a video on amortization? or is Goodwill about the same as amortization?
Thank you for the simplification :)
Goodwill is one my favorite assets on the balance sheet. It’s the only one thats worth what someone claims it’s worth lol
9 yrs later and still saving students... BTW no wonder target went under, look at those prices!!!
That's what I call understanding lesson and not only memorizing
Thank you very much for the explanation. I think i good it now.
Thanks!
Good video🎉
Very well explained! Thank you
You are the best
Thank you :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I guess a good example would be Facebook aquiring WhatsApp for $22billion (which obviously was more than its value of net identifiable assets)?
THX.
Thanks a bunch
One word, "synergy"
Nice
thank you!
Good demo ! PPE standing for ....?
nice
Thanks!
THANK YOUUUUU
nice video
Hi Sir, As per double entry system every aspect should have two fold effect. If goodwill in asset side - what would a second effect ?. Please advise .
Since Goodwill is non cash transaction - wouldn't it lead to overvalue in asset side
Thanks,
Suruthi
Dear Sir,how did you arrive at the purchase price??
appreciated
AAS 18 AASB: Purchased goodwill must be amortised so that it is recognised as
an expense in the profit and loss or other operating statement on
a straight-line basis, over the period from the date of acquisition
to the end of the period of time during which the benefits are
expected to arise. This period must not exceed twenty years
from the date of acquisition.
Yes, basically what I came here to say. Goodwill is not "never amortized" as stated in this video. It is absolutely amortized for the reasons you laid out above.
This video is 10 years old, and the changes to goodwill amortization were well after it was made. Nice "I gotcha" moment. He knows what tf he's talking about.
Дякую! Cheers from Ukraine !
