@@justin_bernstein do you recommend booking your flights with ef or on your own? i like that they provide transportation from the airport but i feel like im gonna get layovers that arent necessary when i know there are direct flight options from my city.
@@agdollsnikki Yeah I think they provide the transportation from the airport to the hostel if you arrive roughly the same time as everyone else and then on the way back I don't think they provide the transportation back to the airport if you book your own flights. It seems like you could probably hitch a ride with everyone but there's a chance you would have to get your ride back to the airport. If you do want to avoid layovers and are okay with potentially having to get to the airport on your own then booking your own flights might be the better option. Also if you have credit card points that can be transfer to airline miles it could save you some money. For this trip I book my flights with EF but for my next trip to Japan I'm booking my own
That’s great! Sorry for the delay and hopefully I caught you before your trip! Weather wise Venice wasn’t too cold but the rest of the trip was pretty cold, might also be a bit cloudy at times but usually burns off. In terms of recommendations, eat everything haha, food is great. Loved picking on food around the Christmas markets. Also if you can take the time to get to know the other people in the trip, that’s one of the magical things about a group trip like this, you can really make some great and lifelong friends
Do they include all trips to and from activity’s ? And is there a time we’re I’ll have to provide transportation myself ? I’m planing on purching there flight threw them so it’s all managed but just sounds to good to be true
This was a regular trip from them. I had a single room because I was supposed to be going with someone but they had to drop out before and I just kept it. With the other rooms on this trip, it's usually around 6 people per room with bunk beds. Similar vibe to the rooms I had but just bigger to fit everyone
I’m going in February 2025, how much spending money do you recommend bringing as a minimum? (Like for sure I want to buy some souvenirs but I want to budget how much will need to be spent on needs while there)
Hmm really tough to say. Most meals will be on your own (outside of the specified meals in the itinerary) so make sure you budget for it. From my experience most other things while sight seeing are free experiences (except public bathrooms, usually like 1 euro). Overall souvenirs wise there are definitely ways to be cost conscious and still get a lot of small things, of course there are some bigger ones too that will cost you like wine, Venetian glass, etc. Depends on what you’re thinking about getting
I didn’t but I was one of three only people who didn’t. Just watch out if you bring a big bag, you do have to lug it around on cobblestone, up stairs, etc
I'm going on this trip next month! Thank you for sharing your experience! So excited for all of this. 🙂
Great video bro. I did Germany, italy, and Switzerland years ago as my first trip and I haven’t stopped since. Been all over with EF

Hey Justin,
Thank you for sharing this video. I am heading to this trip in April. In addition, I see that you live in NYC as well. We should hang out.
Hey sorry I totally missed this, responded to your comment on the other video with a discord link!
Awesome videos I have a trip with EF I’m November. Any recommendations? How’s the weather in November????

Did you have a lot of free time in Lucerne? I want to swim in the lake soooo bad!
Honestly not that much time. Basically the morning walking tour and after that went to Rigi the same day

everything included
They handle everything but the flights will be cheaper on your own.
+1 to @Fortune1 most of the time. Especially if you have miles to use, can’t use them on EF booked flights
Was this a plus trip type?? Trying to get a feel for the type of rooms you get
