  • Hi and welcome back!
Follow along as I finally get to venture out on my own in search of the final deer in our quota.
I end up using my SQ50 Thermal Sight to take out a fox wich leads to tagging out on our deer quota

I'm a Norwegian American living in the western USA. Love the video! Interesting to see the hunting cultures of other countries. Other than private land such as on family farms/cabins, do Norwegians hunt very much on public land?

Hi Eirik! What part of Norway did your family come from?
And yes, we do hunt alot on public land. The governemnt owns alot of forrest and open up for people buying hunting licenses on these propperties. It's to secure that every Norwegian citizen will have access to hunt if they would like

@@NordicGameHunter Moren min er fra Bergen, and that's where her brothers and extended family live. She made the mistake of moving to the US 30 years ago, so now I'm trying to leave the US and move to Norway haha. I'll have to look more into the regulations for hunting there. There seem to be lots of deer, waterfowl, rabbits, and some opportunities for moose and reindeer, although I wish Norway had black bears.
Is there a lot of public land hunting in southern and western Norway (i.e. around Oslo and Bergen areas), or is it more concentrated in the eastern interior and the remote North?

@@eirik9454Haha, well I hope you make it then! Bergen is a nice place.
There are plenty all over Norway. We have this website called www.inatur.no, there you can find access to public and private land. Both for fishing and hunting. It's pretty straight forward. Not difficult to access at all!

Is Kira a legit Norwegian Elkhound?
Also, great shooting, really enjoying your channel!

Thank you! Tad unstable on the fox, but I hit the sweet spot atleast. Kira is a Swedish Elkhound. They are taller then a norwegian moosedog. Norwegian ones are alot more compact
