Hi guys, i have a specific question about the game: there is a character card named “Captain foxglove”, it gas the ability to take out your Bottom of the glass at the beginning of the round and you can also remove and/or add the bottom to YOUR GOBLET when you peek. My question is, if you first remove the bottom of your glass, how can you peek and remove another bottom of glass if you can ONLY peek YOUR GOBLET?? I’m going out of mind, i need help please 😂 Thanks
I don't really get the tactics on this one. If everyone can swap after you toast, wouldn't you just pass your supposedly safe goblet repeatedly around the table? And if you assume your goblet is going to be taken, you have no control over what is in front of you if you take the toast action. Seems like toasting is a bad thing to do tactically.
The person to call the toast gets the last action to close out the round before you "drink" (not sure he made that very clear), so if you know the goblet you want and suspect that its still good just swap for it.
What is the point of the coloured rings on the goblets if you just mix them around the table? The only reason I can think of is perhaps to keep track of where the goblet started for strategy reasons. BTW... this game would be a good warm up to playing Shadows over Camelot!
The colored rings help w/the memory element. Black goblet = death!!! Yellow goblet = full of wine. (Also helps you identify who's targeting you when the little so-and-so keeps shoving that black death goblet in front of you!) :) Its a REALLY fun game!
I'd like to see a "last man standing" version of this game without points but where the object is to kill off nobles in a certain order to work your way up to the throne. It's a bit anticlimactic that the person who was poisoned gets to return on the next round. If people aren't dropping like flies, the tension doesn't build. I really like this idea, but the execution (no pun intended) could be vastly improved.
The goblets are supposed to be placed at arm's length away from everyone...that detail should do the trick, and IF they hypothetically continue to do that...that's the kind of player that you could probably, hypothetically, do without next time.
Witch: Listen. I have put a pellet of poison in one of the vessels. Hawkins: Which one? Witch: The one with the figure of a pestle. Hawkins: The vessel with the pestle? Witch: Yes. This would be a good one for a Dice Tower live play
?? It would be a very bad choice for a live play. It's a quiet game, where the players putting stones in cups, and once in a while rotate them.
Inconceivable!
first place my brain went!
I literally just watched that movie and that made me think of bringing this game out again.

I've already started looking at posh goblets to upgrade this..
I managed to grab the Holy Grail by making a leap of faith and "borrowed" the Pope's chalice from the Vatican just to play this game.
Dave Dogge ... sure.
Thank you for video :)
This game looks brilliant!
Can you play it without characters and special powers? And if you peek inside the goblet, won't that ruin the entire game?
Sounds like the gamers' version of "Four on a Couch"
what's to stop a really Tall player from cheating and seeing down his/hers goblet every turn?

Honesty.
so you can only play on large round tables where the center is arms length from everybody... I dont have a table like this.

Sam! You said "regardless" and then corrected yourself to say "irregardless". Bad Sam. Bad.
