Thanks for these uploads, man. This is my first Ninja Gaiden, and I'm playing only on Mentor. These videos are super helpful, especially being able to see your inputs. I'm dying a lot, but at the same time, I'm having a lot of fun with this game.

i am glad the videos help! but be aware that i am playing the most safest way possible haha i wouldnt say that this is the proper way to play, but it is a very SAFE way to play for this particular run... if i would play casually i would play much more agressive and take some damage in exchange cause thats how the game really plays...
yeah i installed a lot of mods by now and with those the game is a lot more enjoyable, but at the end of the day its not NG 2 and it never will be so i will just go back to the original at some point
@ I’m glad you like it more! The number one thing you taught me so far is to use the super charge essence move more, and that when you land it charges way quicker.
It’s also just fun to watch someone really good at the game tear it to shreds whenever I’m barely surviving most fights, lol

At this point I'm accepting for what it is, Sigma 2 Black, but at least it has blood and gore, and the weapon upgrade system back. And the airship isn't glitched like the one in the Master Collection. Hopefully they go back and make it more like OG NG2, but I'm not holding my breath. I imagine they'd rather spend all their money making NG4 the best game they can instead. I think the important thing is Ninja Gaiden is back, and lots of people who never played it are enjoying it.
yeah i agree... i am criticising this game from a long time player perspective, i think people have to understand that i am not judging the game for what it is just by itself.. i am not a new player... i am noticinng flaws that 90% of people will never give a damn about... so yeah i think most people will enjoy this. i still think its an overpriced lie tho.
@@FarnhamTheDrunk1 Koei Tecmo's never been good with pricing, I don't know if you've played the DOA games, but imagine paying full $60 for a DOA game, and then $90 per season pass for mostly costumes and maybe 1 or 2 dlc characters, and by the end all the DLCs eventually add up to hundreds or over a thousand dollars. Makes $50 for this game tame compared to DOA pricing. I've spent more money on 1 DOA game than I've spent on all the NG games put together, and I have NG1, NGB, NGDS, NG2, NG3, Yaiba, Master Collection, and NG2B.
I absolutely hate that Ryu has to carry around the bow on his back all the time after obtaining it. Is it also from NGS2?

@@FarnhamTheDrunk1 I think it's acceptable change. I feel like most of the visual aspects in this version are fantastic (save for some 'degraded' aspects in 2 of the 3 playable ladies), I just wish I could play something close to the 360 version with visuals like this...

@ Looks absolutely nothing like it. As good as it looks, it's an upscaled Xbox 360 game and the graphics pale in comparison to Black 2's graphics. And besides that, I have a gaming PC that's far more powerful than an Xbox Series X. No matter how much I like a game, I'm not willing to buy a €500 console just to play it.

Easiest boss ever, just spam enma fang UT... sadly in sigma 2 u cannot fight the dragon on water because they just had to ruin everything

To unlock the classic suit, you just beat the game I think. The Dragon muscle you unlock from completing 10 tag missions and the Fiend suit you get from completing master ninja

Hi, based on your experience with NG could you give me your personal ranking for the weapons? (For this version/Sigma specifically) I'm a beginner to the series currently playing in Master Ninja
imo all weapons are equally viable but some are more difficult to handle... there is no "best Weapon" in NG 2, every weapon has its ups and downs. i would say if ur new to the game, an easy weapon to start with and learn is the lunar. a more difficult weapon to handle is the kusarigama, but thats my personal favourite. just use whatever u like and focus on learning that!

Calling it Black when it's nust Sigma 2 with slight changes is crazy. Fighting Alexei on MN is such a pain in this.
yeah they changed him to not stun anymore as easily just to ruin speedrunners lifes, but they ruined everyones life instead
@FarnhamTheDrunk1 yeah but I will say tho being able to just humiliate Genshin one with the lunar is hilarious. I kinda do the same thing to Alexei 1 minus izuna to varying success.

How do you do the ultimate ability so fast after jumping. I've done a couple times but don't know how I did
It is called "On Landing UT" and u have to press Y just before u land, and absorb at least 2 yellow orbs OR 1 blue OR 1 red orb. thats it really.

@@MacDibs be aware that some things do not apply to this new release tho, since it is based off a different port of the game... for example u cannot counter strong attacks in the new game... but for the most part these should be very helpful!

Before this, I had only played the original NG2. The Sigma changes are pretty strange but I like some of them.
Looks like the projectile spam is not nearly as bad as 2008 NG2. Master Ninja Was hell on that game.

MN was badshit insane, and that was what Itagaki and his devs were going for. Unfortunately it was unbalanced, but even if Itagaki managed to balance it the way he wanted, I doubt that he would make it much easier LOL

@@FarnhamTheDrunk1 difficulty is content, as Electric Underground said. Even if Itagaki managed to patch NGII, it'll probably be similar to how he upgraded NG04 to Black (removing OP shit like interceptor, rebalancing and tweaking the combat), instead of making it similar to Ligma versions (especially considering the fact that he didn't like them).
So impressive! Hope you keep this going. Would like to see you try to go full game no damage same playtrhough. Also Love to see you try different difficulties. How long have you played ninja Gaiden. I actually played the original on xbox, played the tournaments and such. inspiring to see your control. And Just one question, why did you save so much with a no damage run?
full game no damage in one go is literally impossible... u will NEVER see anyone do that. even single chapter is impossible imo. at least on this difficulty.
segmented is the only possible way.
i play these games since they exist. and yes i do like the originals more as well...
i save so much so i dont have to redo the same shit over and over again haha

@ ALL of the no damage runs on master ninja u will ever see are segmented, as i stated before: IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to do this in one go

maaan you have to really know this game pretty well to not take any damage plus know when the enemies gonna appear and cut corners
I started the master ninja difficulty and i can't even pass the first chapter. I find it ridicoulus honestly, die 47462662 times in a single stage. The camera handling and dodging really suck.

nothing changed in that regard, still tanky enemies everywhere, this is just sigma 2 for the most part... they removed the one hit kill grabs tho so... yay i guess
@FarnhamTheDrunk1 Have there been many changes to combat encounters as in which enemies and how many spawn? So far I only know about the fountain fight in the venice stage that has been changed significantly.
@@bufflb4184 a few (VERY FEW) spawns got altered, but not NEARLY enough to even notice. empty areas are all still empty, so no "new" spawns were added.

I thought MN difficulty would have a little more enemies but I see it doesn’t. 😢 OG NG2 still undefeated in difficulty
a few fights were altered, but not nearly enough and not noticable except for maybe the venice fountain area....
@@FarnhamTheDrunk1 exactly! If they were able to add a little more enemies then at least in higher difficulties they could have add more. But like you said they lie this is still not close to the original

because it is basically impossible to do it all without saving. this game is not designed for no damage. you are meant to get hit.
Is this segmented? Just wondering why you're saving after every flight
yes, it would be impossible to do this run in one go... i save every time u see me go up to a statue
Trippin over nothing on some of the fights, pretty good tho nonetheless. If they never scrapped the trial fights and kept the windmill shuriken in the game, game would be fantastic. Who cares about less enemies when they buffed up the health of all the others. Very hard difficulty is the eay to go
windmill shuriken (and incendiary shuriken) has been modded in already and i use it already in my casual gameplay.. i wanted the no damage run to be on the authentic release version tho...

I haven’t played NG2 for like a decade but that game had some BS encounters. Like if it weren’t for hallways of rocket ninjas I would probably enjoy the game a lot more. Like just give me waves of red ninjas I’ll be more happy if I didn’t have to deal with stupid rocket spam from 50 directions. That being said, I never played sigma2 but I like this game better than my NG2 experience.
Wins every battle without taking damage on master ninja and sounds like hes on the verge of smashing his setup. I dont understand why the rage when you win.

@@LaloBalteus it really isnt though. its a blend between the two, hell og NG2 had a fuckton of issues that its clown fanbase doesnt like listening to, and this is coming from someone that finished master ninja on OG NG2 more than once. NG2 black is imo the best of the 3. it added more enemies than sigma and kept sigma's health, altered the limb cutting that was ass in sigma, kept alot of OGs designs that sigma took out completely etc etc theres already alot of videos showcasing the changes. also the camera doesnt crap out as much as sigma and especially OG.
my only real issue is the empty areas between fights and they really shouldve added abit more enemies in some chapters, but not as much as OG, which struggled with its own game mechanics, framerate and engine purely because of the enemy count (which made the camera even worse), in short, as far as im concerned, this is defintely the definitive version NG2.

@@flamingmanure Nah, it's not a blend. There's quite literally 2 elements from the 360 version. The gore is back and even improved compared to before (though the blood disappears too quickly). And the weapon upgrade system is like how it was in the 360 version. Literally everything else is just straight up Sigma 2, plus or minus some changes here & there. Heck, someone experimenting with mods even copypasta'd the code for the removed statue boss in chapter 1 from Sigma 2 into this game and it just worked. The boss was invisible, but the boss was still doing the same attacks it did and you could also kill it and it's complete with boss health bar.
