Hey guys! :) I'm planning to upload 1 video per week on Friday night from this week. I'm accepting video request again so if you have any specific topic that you want me to make a video about, go ahead and make a request via the form below. If the suggestion is doable, I may consider to add them to my upcoming video list! forms.gle/eht4YDUCentrhEhA9
When I went to Tokyo I wanted to see bridge Eshima Ohashi but it was too far to walk from the train station. That would be exciting if you could take a video of you walking on the bridge and the view over the bridge
Yay! Another great upload, thank you for sharing Linh! My suggestion for videos would be: 1) Life in Tokyo under COVID 2) A tour/day in the life of your workplace 3) How you edit your videos 4) The Olympic spirit alive in Tokyo (if possible under current COVID conditions) Looking forward to your next video!
Interesting video Linh! I love the Japanese mountains & watch lots of videos of people exploring & driving the mountain roads. It's a shame but there are countless abandoned houses & villages due to changing demographic & economic reasons 😊 👍
OMG I just saw this video and was shocked!! I went to APU too!! I went to graduate school but lived in AP House also and took some japanese classes even though the graduate school was meant to be only english. I went there way before you from 2003 to 2005. I miss the onsens in Beppu!!
Heyyyyy sempai 👋 😂 2003-2005! Wow you’re like on of the first students!! Have you seen the new APU campus concept in 2023? It looks sooooo good (very jealous of the kids these days 😂) so I’d definitely go back there next year to see once the construction is done 😂
This made me so sad because I was going to study abroad there right when COVID started, so I never went :( but I'm glad to see the university through this video! I hope to visit Beppu soon
Oh noooo :( so sorry about that! APU was honestly one of the best time period in my life but I guess even if you went during COVID the experience wouldn’t be the same because what makes it great was the friendship and the people there :( anyway, hope you’ll get to visit Beppu! You’re gonna like it for sure!
@@ChillWithLinh I'm going to live in Kumamoto prefecture on the JET program this year, so I definitely will! Your videos are so... chill hahaha, can't wait to see more!
Hi Linh, nice video tour. I never went to university as I started my job at 17 (still with the same company over 40 years later). Looking forward to your weekly videos and take care 🙏
Hi Tony! That’s admirable that you have stayed in the same company over 40 years!! University was nice but not a must at all so I’m sure you’re not missing out anything! :) take care!
Great Video! This is my first time seeing a Japanese university. It’s a beautiful location. I can definitely relate not using my colleges gym because all of the attractive students. I paid to use a small local gym instead lol
I would definitely do the same lol. I couldn’t show it in the video but that gym has a huge glass window so you can exactly see what people are doing inside which is just worse 😂 I could see a bunch of people with 6 packs posing in front of the mirror haha
Hi, Linh. I always look forward to your new videos! I think it's a stereotype that students in Asia have to study very long hours, and classes are very academically competitive with other students. Was that true in your experience at APU?
Hi 👋 I think like there are two types of students in APU, there are the ones who study so much and competitive. Also there are the other ones who don’t study at all and struggle so much to graduate 😂 😂 it’s also interesting to see that depending on where the students come from, they are whether competitive or chilled
This is a great way to do voice overs. I am going to use some of these techniques in my own videos. I just do not have a good enough camera yet. Wow that soccer field has no grass ha ha ha.
@@ChillWithLinh Voice over is hard because you have to match what you say with videos and photos that will keep the audience interested enough to watch the whole video. The more comments you get the more the video gets promoted too.
What did you study there? I went to a university in Ireland 🇮🇪 and studied Business Studies with Accounting and Economics. I really enjoyed my time there.
Glad to know you had great time in Ireland! I studied Liberal Arts and studied a bit of everything like Asian culture, media, IR, tourism and so on. It was really broad 😂
This is nice!! 💕 Was the course taught in Japanese? can you share the process on applying to this university? Thank you! P.S. I really enjoy watching your videos!
The tuition fee is pretty expensive (detail here en.apu.ac.jp/home/life/content9/) but they offer lots of scholarship for foreign students. I got 100% tuition reduction scholarship so actually I didn’t have to pay at all
The course was taught in English. There are two tracks for students to choose: Japanese track and English track. I was in English track so all classes were in English. The process was pretty simple, I filled out the application form with some essays, got a recommendation letter from my teacher and had an interview with the university. I’m not sure if it’s still the same now though. Anyway, thank you! ☺️
My school was kinda international so I’m not sure how 100% Japanese school will be like. But we have lots of extracurricular activities and circles so it’s really fun. Classes are great too, but it depends a lot on the professors. There are many different types of classes so students can have various kind of experience
I don’t know exactly and it was 10 years ago when I applied so it must have changed as well. Anyway, I think I got full tuition reduction because my high school grades were really high, and also I got third prize twice in the national English exam which was kinda hard in my country. I noticed people who had prizes tend to get full tuition reduction
I’ve seen people working for travel companies, finance, banking, recruitment, food industry, etc. There are lots of options. There are also people like me who decide to study something else on the side and go to different field, like IT / engineering. Some subjects were enjoyable, some were boring I think.

Looking forward to seeing more videos from you Linh.🙂🌻 Day in the Life in Japan, Cooking in Japan, and personal Q&A videos are also nice.
When I went to Tokyo I wanted to see bridge Eshima Ohashi but it was too far to walk from the train station. That would be exciting if you could take a video of you walking on the bridge and the view over the bridge
Hey Zaynab, will keep those in the list!
Jim, I didn’t even know about that bridge until you mentioned it 😂 Now I wanna go and see it myself too, will film something if I do!
Hello i want to ask is it expensive to study at APU what are your average monthly expenses
Welcome back. I can’t wait to see more videos
Thanksss. I’m working on it 💃💃
Yay! Another great upload, thank you for sharing Linh!

Thank you for your suggestions! 2 and 4 are probably not doable but I’ll consider 1 and 3!
I always love watching your videos, thank you!
Thank you ☺️ that gives me enough reason to keep making!
Interesting video Linh! I love the Japanese mountains & watch lots of videos of people exploring & driving the mountain roads. It's a shame but there are countless abandoned houses & villages due to changing demographic & economic reasons 😊 👍
Thanks Andrew! Yea there are sooooo many mountains in Japan 😂 the view from above the mountain is always amazing!
Good to see you again!

3:23 the view looks dreamy!! :OO (by person who lives in really flat city)
Where I live is completely flat now so I really miss that view sometimes too 😂😂

It was during the winter so I guess all of the grass was just too yellow to be seen 😂

How did u manage to get full tuition reduction scholar at APU ?

What work can be done after graduation? Are the subjects and study there enjoyable or boring?

@@ChillWithLinh so what majors arc there? All are available for an international student?
@@malakm8143 Yes definitely available for international student. Please check the homepage! en.apu.ac.jp/home/
how many undergraduate students get opportunity to study here?
I’m not sure but maybe you can check the statistics on the university official website!
