Thank you so much. From the instructions, we thought we needed to align the bobin with the cap not the body. That would never have worked. Your video solved that frustration.

The bobbin on my unit was on tight enough that I had to pry it off with a screw driver. Life jacket had inflated on it's own. Just from humidity? Great video.

I had one of my life jackets inflate when a crew member was having a cup of tea. The steam must have triggered it but the strange thing was that the gas cylinder wasn't pierced and the indicator was still green. Any ideas?

Check weigh the cylinder, you will likely find it has discharged.. If its full it will be very close to the 'gross weight' +- 1g.

You forgot to test the jacket if it is airtight.
