    Hi, man. Love the videos. Super informative and straight to the point. But do you have an estimate on how many square feet (or meters!)of wood you used for the body of the hood?
    Thanks

    Moin, ser gute video!
    Can you tell me if i should benefit from have sealing on inside or outside for building the box?
    What prefilter do you recommend for a HEPA 14 system for longevity?

      Filter should be outside as it presses on the frame. Id go with hepa14

    Hi,
    I really like your video, I'm planning to do the same as your. Could you give me the exact measurement for the box? I didn't really get that part.

    Kann man in den Rahmen des Filters Schrauben drehen oder ist der Filter nur mit Silikon befestigt?

    Now i am assembling a still air glove box to make agar and lc because laminar flow will be possible in a couple of months. You think glove boxes are good?

    • @HappyMushrooms
      @HappyMushrooms  3 года назад

      Yes if you keep them steril (use a lot of isopropanol etc) they will work great. But i like to have more Space to work in;)

      glove boxes are NOT recommended. Stick with your still air box or build the laminar flow hood

    hey hi, I build the flow hood based on you measurement. But I have been having a lot of contam. The thing is, I didnt have contam when just pouring agar in the plate. I did the 2weeks test. But, whenever I tried to do agar transfert from an other agar, from print or form swab, I have been having only contams. Do you have an idea why? I also did the light test, I have a stable 45degree flame.

      Hey, what filter and fan did you order?

    • @mauricepgm1
      @mauricepgm1 Год назад

      @@HappyMushrooms I used the filter you recommended, for the blower I order of in the link you had but the plug and power didnt fit to my country, so I had to order an other one, "mid-compress-low-noise-blower, type: yyf-2-8012, 750w".

    Hi there, thanks for your vid. I purchased the blower you suggested. However, I can only find a HEPA with these dimensions - 91.5 x 61cm x 9.6cm. It's not as deep as yours. Do you think it will still be ok? The only spec I have of the filter is that the supplier says it is h14 Rated at 99.99% Efficiency and filters to .3 Micron @ Rated Air flow 800 m3H. Do you think this will be ok? Thanks for any help.

      Yes that Sounds good! But you might need a stronger Fan than I use

      @happymushroooms Do you think 61x61x7,8cm HEPA Filter on the as-Luftfilterwebsite would work with your Fan?

    Hi, is H13 sufficient for the stuff you are doing, or should one go for H14?

    • @HappyMushrooms
      @HappyMushrooms  2 года назад +1

      Hey h13 Works fine. The risk of contamination due to the filter is almost zero. I know a lot people using h13 without Problems. H14 is still a little saver;)

    hey i am a little confused, on your first video you linked the 680 W blower fan. In this video you linked an 980 W fan but then in the video you listed the fan specs as 680 W. Can you please verify what fan you're using with your flow hood? Thanks in advanced your videos are very helpful (:

    • @HappyMushrooms
      @HappyMushrooms  2 года назад +2

      Hey sorry for that. I am using the 680w version. The 980 would be an option of you plan a lot bigger flowhood. Tank you:)
