I’m from Brazil! For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting:
The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song,
without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from
Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition,
the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally
performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani
pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to

Breaking the cup was perfect, even though unintended, cuz Dimash's run is totally astounding! 🤯Good counting too...people say 23/24 seconds, so you were right in there. You're one of the few who is as stunned as I am about Dimash's breath control. And it's not like he seemed he was gasping for air at the end of it either! It's hard enough to hold one's breath that long, let alone go through the vocal gymnastics that Dimash goes through during that interminable run!

He's singing in russian, the song is from the Kazakh "A'Studio" band on stage, with successes in Russia. The song is from the 90's... and it was arranged for Dimash's voice by the 20th anniversary of the band for it's 1st performance of this song at Slavic Bazaar 2018. The melisma is an "Yakutyan rift" an Asian traditional song in memory of the death... (in this case the vocalist of the band who died tragically some years ago).
Last run lasts 28 sec without a single breath...

IMO, the best female vocalist was also from the Philippines, Charice, but that voice no longer exists. Now she is Jake and that voice can't match Charice's.

Dimash swims and builds his lungs. I've seen him swim the whole length of an Olympic size swimming pool underwater. He works hard...like an athlete. He says singing is very physical. Like a sport. He is always working to improve.

I wouldn't worry about the language. This bunch figures stuff out pretty fast. I have commented on Russian, French and Spanish reactors and they usually figure it out and reply back in their language or mine. If you want to be really nice, just add captions in your own language and everyone will get it translated. Take comment breaks and dodge the copyright blocks. That's life and actually a better reaction.

This is the original band, A-Studio, that wrote and performed this song when Dimash was 4. And also from Kazakhstan!
That ethnic part is more of a glottal vibrato, or a fast yodel that closes instead of popping up to the upper note. It is a funeral lament for the original lead singer who died about 5 years before and is in a specifically Kazakh ethnic style.
Yeah, just under 23 seconds. Singers usually lose some air on those voice transitions, but you know, Dimash. And he swims for better breath control. I assume there is some underwater distance swimming involved to help him maintain control when going into oxygen/C02 debt during a long phrase. He was doing those tricky jazz/turkish runs when he was really low on air. It's hard to maintain focus when your lungs are screaming at you.
Another experienced singer/coach reactor was mentioning that it is not possible to get to this level of control while living a normal life.
The fact that he has very healthy family relationships amidst this laser-focused training is one of the most surprising things.

Igor came out of retirement after this performance to work with Dimash and has composed or rearranged several songs for Dimash. Igor is probably the richest musician in the world, worth $13 billion several years ago. You will often see Igor at the piano at a Dimash performance. Be aware, in Russia, Igor is always introduced before Dimash.
