This just reminded me about few workshops I conducted on the topics "Who am I" "Limiting beliefs" . There are many things that help shape who we are. One of these factors is how we grow up. Understanding what we believe about ourselves, truths, lies, and hurt - this is really helpful in understanding some behaviours, feelings and our actions we are experiencing today in our lives.
If I could mention 2 of many things that contribute to who we are. 1. Habits we inherit from our parents - these habits come in an automatic manner, from when we are born. The most important event was being fed. This is when you form a first loving and trusting relationship with a parent figure or develop a sense of mistrust. [zinitsi, but ke I'm not here to flood your comment section LOL]
    2. The time period we grow up in.
There are so many things we get to learn from different Era, that being from fashion, how people live their lives etc..
This video got be thinking, loved it ❤️

Indeed Vovo and I think the hardest is to admit to ourselves that the people who love us the most (meaning those who raised us) have taught us negative things, and have indeed shaped how we view ourselves. I totally agree with you 💯 💯 💯.

And ke most of the time those things come from a place of love, even those that we now feel were wrong. Upbringing is such a beautiful thing, we can only pray that each of us get to experience such moments. Andithethi ke ngezi bad like abuse. That I cannot condone to be something that shapes you. No one deserves such treatment.
Yazi I'm also reminded of when usiya emzini, indlela oyalwa ngayo. Ezinye izinto that are said may be thing to consider or not. It all depends on how you want to live your life and what you know would be right for you to inherit. I'll share a video with you shortly on Insta that I saw xa kuyalwa umfazi.
