When I first started combat robotics I never had enough extra parts. Now there are always 3 full bots ready to go and at least 6 replacement parts for everything. I've lost a few times late in brackets because there were no extra parts.
Actually, up untill this point I have never needed any extra part for hotline when I competed with it. This was the first time and I learned the hard way.
I can't get enough of your videos and finally get into robotics myself!!!!! Just sad every time I go to buy your antweight kit it's always out of stock 😔 keep up the awesome fights!!!!!!
@DrumBotics that will be massively appreciated if you can as I'll buy one in a heart beat I'm from the UK and got to a few events now just to watch and think it's definitely next level to what's around here
@@QWERTY_56_WASDI know of course! Just when editing the video I forgot the name of your bot. It was papubot or something like that, but didn't want to make a mistake. Yes aluminium bar and that green wheel is sitting on my shelf as a memorial!
@@QWERTY_56_WASD Also, I have one question. In the competition I saw you had the pistole like grip controller yeah? What receiver you were using. The one that came with the transmitter? I would like to use this controller too so I'm curious.
Still not sure, I guess the problem was my reciever as I gave it 12 volts whereas it can only take 5 volts. But still not sure. Ordered some new am32 esc's so now it will work better and they are with a bec, so I can now give my reciever 5 volts and hopefully hotline's 4th version will be untouchable🙂
If you want a better receiver, I recommend using an esp32. You van pair videogame controllers to it with bluepad32, its cheaper, you can customize controls, and most have a BEC built in
@@OptimusRoboticsPoland Yeaaah, I might have overestimated the capabilities of polypropylene. It can crack after bigger hits not like TPU. That was shocking to see.
@@DrumBotics I was pretty happy with my parts but they weren't taking such a big stresses like yours. I'll be testing it more to really feel it, because during my time printing it I noticed even 5 degrees on the nozzle really changed it's properties. And also - different brands give different properties for PP, seems like every brand has a little different mix. I'll be sticking to Fiberlogy one for now as it was the most consistant.
@ sounds about right. By the way I hope you find a way to fix the brushless drive, though I gotta say your robot performed extremely well with just 2 n20’s
Not brazilians, but mexicans and in bealteweight some kolumbians. Beatleweight? In the future for sure, but now focusing more on 1 pounders as I originally started from 150 gram robots now one pounders and after a couple of years hopefully will go up to beatleweights as I would really like to compete in NHRL.
Can you record your teammate’s bot Nyx and release it as a separate video for the newer events? Or do they have a channel that they use to release videos? If so, then I want to see it. Also just want to say that I love the content! I would get the kit but it isn’t really fightable since I live in the United States where to weight class is different.
Thanks, Nyx doesn't have a channel where he would talk about his robot, but as a matter of fact he was telling me that he might start a channel with nyx. And yeah, I understand that in USA the 454 gram category is more popular. Although, in the future there will be a drumbotics 1lb kit that is in the makings right now! Will compete amd test it's design this saturday.
If he ever makes one please say the channel name in the video! And a 1 pound kitbot sounds amazing! I would rather watch the antweights fight since they can be so responsive and fast. Would it pretty much be a scaled up version of the kit you sell right now? Because I’d love to see something like that in the United States. But I also think that a 1 pound 4wd eggbeater kit would be SUPER cool! That would be a 100% buy for me if I have the money!
200 pounds is a lot, if it's your first time making a combat robot and you want to learn how to build one fast I would recommend getting a kit, but In my opinion building one on your own would be more beneficial, although it takes some skills designing knowledge and it takes more time.
I'm not sure 100% if this is true, but sometimes my motor gives out and starts to glitch, also similar thing happened in Klaipeda's competition when checked the motor and it was very hot.
Hotline vs Nyx deserved a Spiderman vs. Spiderman meme 😀

@LeonardoGomez-d8m A two disk vertical spinner. It was prettt good.

Spotted our channel at 1:20 😂 love your content, keep up the great work!
Thanks! The red two disk beatleweight?
@ nah, the VMA bot brawl video.
ahh, I see now. Great!
It was amazing meeting you and having you destroy my robots. I hope we fight again in RC2025
PD: The Hspinners with polycarbonate are mine. Thank you very much for keeping the aluminum bar that I gave you.

Wow absolutely amazing video, it was super entertaining and most importantly hotline did great in Romania!

@@DrumBotics UHMW will probably be your best bet, if you can cut it or find someone to cut it for you.
@@overmatchrobotics Yeah, PCBway can do pretty much anything so that would be my best option.

Once again great fights, but you should really switch to sharp thin forks instead of wide flat ones...
@@KingPieGamez You are reading my mind! My 4th version of hotline will have 4 long thin titanium forks.
@DrumBotics great minds think alike xD (can't wait to see it)
I think you could have taken the top spot if it were not for that brushless motor trouble!
Yeah I'm thinking like that too! Next year in Robochallange I will take revanche.
