I'm currently doing a Dragon's Dogma playthrough in prep for DD2. The silent protagonist is driving me insane. As for BG3. I liked BG3 but if I had to choose which Forgotten Realms game to play as a last meal type deal, I would play IWD.@@Knight1029
Disappointed, i actually have an imagination so I prefer being able to think of my own voice for my own character. Or just say the lines myself if im playing myself as the main character. Like i did with Kotor and DA origins. Instead of a random VA speaking my characters lines. Especially if its says something random and not the dialogue choice I actually chose.
Actually really mad this game isn't getting talked about more! As a MASSIVE Mass Effect fan. This game is exactly what I've been waiting for and I know it'll be good! Hope to see more. Glad to be a founder!
I agree, Mass Effect is an incredibly popular video game franchise, and for a reason. One of the best ever made. Why this studio and this game isn't drawing more attention is insane, especially that they got an A-list Hollywood star for the voice acting.
@@nilocblueit’s not being pushed by mainstream which is probably a great thing now a days but there definitely needs to be some huge RUclipsrs that bring light to it for word of mouth to spread
Like the other commentators, I want to wish the developers good luck! Take your time, don’t rush, make the game of YOUR and our dreams. P.S. A cry from the heart of a fan of the Mass Effect trilogy.❤
Very happy, can't wait to play it down the road. I know it is way, way down the road for any kind of part 2 planning, but if you do the biggest problem I've ever had with sequels is that your choices/decisions in part 1 never impact part 2. I'm hoping in this first game that there are meaningful choices. Such as say not discovering that advanced reactor prototype on x planet, then leads to not having enough power capability to fully power up the advanced manufacturing/ship that you discover on y planet, and so on. That kind of snowball effect of minor/major things truly impacting the gameplay/story arc.
How will be the relationdhip with our companions? will be deep, like mass effect? or will be a secondary thing? anyway, I want to play this game so bad
Your contact us button on your website is broken. It just sends me to wizards of the coast with no way to actually contact you. Anyways, I signed up for your founders email thingy and still haven't received my welcome email with the referral code. 🤨You should just release the bonus DLC items for everyone, regardless of signing up or a referral bonus.
Imagine if you go to a planet for a mission and complete it in a way that leads to you missing important information and you discover later that your time there was basically worth nothing and the planet went back to the way it was before because the player wasn't thorough enough
Amazing. That was my only gripe with baldur's gate 3, and in general i never saw why some developers, while having money to do otherwise, choose silent main character, when everyone else is voiced. If this game gonna be good, i hope that will put voiced main char as an industry standart.
We heard I believe enough answers for how our choices will change the outcome of the game and it will have a huge impact, but let's touch a bit on the gameplay part? So, I have a question that really makes me wonder if it is in the game. Will there be some kind of supernatural powers that our character can use? Psychic powers? Space powers? "The Force"? Etc. I know that the devs said that they are top inspirations were Star Wars, Dune (which both have scientific or supernatural kind of powers) and another secret one which really touches on how the game is built and they did mention that we will be in Alpha Centauri one of the oldest and most mysterious universe... so I have a feeling that there will be some kind of supernatural powers but I do want to hear them confirm it. Also, would we be able to completely use those supernatural powers as a standard combat technique/gameplay through instead of using guns? I know that there are a lot of people, that like to fully concentrate on the supernatural combat with their characters (me being one of them), so that would be quite important I guess. #EXODUSGAME
No shade to them confirming the voiced protagonist is voiced but man it felt oddly short. Like, "We know people hate voiced protagonists especially with Baldur's Gate 3 out but we are gonna do it." Even the way he looked when he said it. It could totally be me looking into it to much but I can't help but feel it. Though I am incredible happy with this. I love Commander Shepard and Hawke, so I am happy to see more games like that.
Some people hate it yes, and they tend to be quite loud about it. but there are still a lot of people who prefer voiced protagonist or have nothing against it.
@@milanatatarenko definitely but I do get the feeling that developers will listen to this loud voice over what people actually want. You can even see it with how the answered the question. It was less than 20 seconds. While every other question they gave was lengthy and explained a lot. While the voiced protagonist answer didn't even explain in depth why the went with it. I don't know. It could be me but I get so frustrated with people who hate voiced protagonists in RPGs. Its like they don't even understand the appeal or why they are even used.
Most gamers want a voice protagonist! However, there is a large vocal minority, especially Bethesda fans who seem to think it's better to not have a voice protagonist... Those people are wrong. A voice protagonist is always more immersive, more cinematic and more AAA. I'm not opposed to developers giving people a mute button, however, if that's their choice but a voice protagonist is always the more polished option for your game!
@@MrBjax9000 I completely agree. It is especially more jarring when you have a game that is very cinematic like Baldur's Gate 3 or Starfield and have no voiced protagonist. It makes the cinematic aspects less enjoyable because you have this mute guy you isn't mute.
@@MrBjax9000 Wrong, voice protag is the opposite of immersive. I have an imagination so i can actually give my characters their own voices, ones that fit them. Especially if you are self inserting yourself as the main character. It breaks immersion when an unfitting voice starts saying weird lines that I didnt choose because the dialogue option was deceiving. Kotor, baldurs gates, fallout NV, and dragon age origins are remembered as some of the best rpgs ever with that being part of the reason. its way more immersive to imagine your character you made say the exact line you chose in a fitting voice. Ya know, like reading a book. If you are incapable of that then i could see why you'd prefer a VA do it for you, so its like watching a tv show or something.
Okay, with all due respect - it did seem forced. And so much attention to "10 years from now" feels not as a hint at the "long-term choices" within the game, but as a hint at Scam Citizen. They... also built a Sci-Fi community mad about Freelancer. Again, no disrespect, I don't have the same vibes with this game, but this particular pushing of the "10 years from now"(repeated over the last few parts) does have those vibes.
I don`t like where this is going, the new revelled character is suspicious. Female, pink hair, shaved head and masculine. I`m interested in this game but I'm telling you now, if you`re pushing woke agenda or have sweet baby inc involved in you game I will not be buying it and you game will fail, so you better think twice before putting that crap in your game.
@@vos7619 Nah I`m just giving a fair warning. Look at the state of the new dragon age game, they put that crap in it and look at what`s happening. The majority don`t like it but they still inject the crap into video games, they can do it if they want to but don`t be upset at the end result. Play stupid games, win stupid prized.
Very happy that the protagonist is voiced!
I'm also happy about that.
One of the view things I disliked about BG3 was the lack of voiced protagonist. So, I am happy Exodus is doing it.

Happy new year. Bonne année 🎉
Bonne année à toi aussi gardien 🎉
So happy it's voiced!!
Thanks for a voiced protagonist! For such a cinematic game I think it would be weird to have a mute protagonist with everyone talking around them 😅
As long as a voiced protagonist doesn't mean less recorded dialogue, I'm all for it.

Is there a morality system ? Like the Renegade\Paragon from Mass Effect ?
Let's hope not. Never liked that "black or white" feature that would completely change some things just because you choose ONCE renegade/paragon
Can't wait!
Really hope this game will have a physical copy.
What is the combat style?
Important question, when will the game premiere +-?
When?

As a Mass Effect fan I have to ask. Will there be romanceable aliens?
Yes, voiced characters! Please do not go down the Bethesda route.
well Bethesda only did it because when they had a voiced protag in Fallout 4 some people got angry because they prefer mute.
Please, make hair options wide ranged especially long locs types, *cough, cough* not the killmongor hairs style. Thank you!!
