Which would you go with, Jones Storm Chaser or the Bataleon Party wave plus? Priority being 1. Float in pow; 2. Going fast and maneuverability; 3.Carving and pop.
All in TJ! Ordered one today and it will be here before my 4 days in Breckenridge starting Jan 10th! I’ll let you know what I think. Thanks for all you do brother!
@@Chaugar The confidence it gives me in my ridig. I don't know if the board made me a better rider or I just got better as the season went on but man, I felt super confident on this board. High speeds, stability, it carves on a dime. It's a rocket, super fast board. It cuts through all the chopped up, afternoon garbage like a hot knife through butter. I ride The Rocky Mountains, Breckenridge and Keystone. Resort riding, mainly groomers and I was super surprised how well it rode on the groomers. Beings it's kind of marketed as a freeride pow board. I never got it onto any deep pow but I am sure it would be superb! This year, I am going to take it off the beaten path into some all natural terrain.
@@jeffadams9699 Just snagged one on sale from Radio Boardshop in Aspen....can't wait for this season! What size did you go with and whats your weight/height? Thanks!
Curious bro …. How does this compare to the Korua Dart? Speed comparison, carving, quickness … and float in powder? Ha! Just noticed someone below asked the exact same question! Lol
Awesome board review super detailed but weird question buy how thick is this board in the middle? I am making my own snowboard and literally attempting to replicate this board as closely as possible.
You made driving the 158 look effortless. Would you get it in that size for youself or would have preferred to size down to temper those aggressive characteristics a tad? Asking for a friend who might look at the 158 and be almost twice your weight 😉
Great content ! I have a question, how does this board hold up to on the groomers ? I like to carve hard and do quick turns, from time to time i love going in te pow between the trees. I'm an intermediate kinde off rider. Would this board fit my needs ? I have now a Lib tech skate bannana from 2014 and i don't like the twin shape, i never ride switch so i'm going for a directional board, but i was thinking the Jones Stratos or the Korua café racer/Dart would be more my kind off board until i saw your review here. Thanks for the time to answer. Greatings from Belgium.
Would you say this or ultra mind expander the more versatile board.. they these two board overlap quite a bit or am I wrong on that. I have a two board quiver of flagship and hovercraft so I’m a Jones fanboy.
Looking at buying this board after looking at this video. The way you ride and style is almost the same as I am doing, allt of speed and only carving. Sometimes I carve a little extra hard at the end of the turn to get like a "kickback" but if too much the toes are catching... so now looking at a wider board with max stiffness in the tail. Do you reckon this board in size 162 would be a good Choice. I'm 83kg and have size 10,5. Bummer its sold out everywhere in Sweden, i can only fins a 157. But maybe ok? Or another board maybe you can recomend? Thx for your Review!!!👍
I’m 168cm tall and 130lbs, boot size 7.5 does the smallest size storm wolf suit my size? I like riding resort groomer, hitting side, minimal switch riding etc. 🙏🏽
can someone tell me how this is different from the Hovercraft? both are carving powder boards and share many similarities. so how are these two different? for which rider is the HC for which rider the SW?
Sorry man, I've got the jones flagship 158 and the ultra mind expander 154. Have you ever test those boards? Can you tell me the difference? I use boards on piste... it's better on ice surface or in bad piste conditions than my boards? I'm 73kg and 181 cm Thanks
Great review! I am doubting which size to go with, I have been riding a Jones Flagship 161 in the past few years, I am 185cm tall, around 80kgs. What would you suggest? Can I get away with the 158cm?
@@NilsenMouind I got the 158 and I am very happy with it! Although I do find it less performing than the Flagship 161 on icy conditions, as it has far shorter edges
The board is gorgeous, but the further you go, the more it seems to me that you can ride even on an ironing board if you'll want to try such crazy thing 🙂. Skill matters)
The new form of these reviews is simply flawless - the tech talk, the personal take and the vid to prove it
Always on point❤️
TJ..., doing the best Snowboard reviews out there at present.
how would you compare the personality of this board vs the Korua Dart?
Love the review. How would you compare to the korua dart as they are similar in shape and seem to be similar in intended focus.
I definitely want to try one of these this season. Loving the new review format as well!
Really interesting board man, love the top sheet also. Nice review and variety of perspectives. 👍
Oooo yeah, adding this one to the quiver this season!

So how did you like the SW?
@@Chaugar OMG! Best board I have have ever ridden! I love everything about it. I bought 6 new set ups last year, and by far, it's my favorite.

Getting awesome at reviews! Great content!
Yes!!!! Now for the Jones aviator 2.0!!!!!!
Wow, great review!! Wanna check it out now fr sure!!
Great work TJ thanks for sharing

We were just at Perisher for 2 weeks but it shut down because of a few cases of party pooper.

Hey TJ, love the reviews, have you thought about adding in binding recommendations to suit the board at the end
I’m pretty sure he rocks only union bindings. My union forces are great, definitely worth checking out!
Such a nice looking board
Agreed
Been looking for powder board that can still rock in-between the powder pockets. Stuck between storm wolf and ultra mind expander.
same...
All the jones decks rip
Would love one of these boards if Jones made them a few cm's more compact. Instead I purchased the K2 Excavator which doesn't disappoint.
Great review! How would you compare this to the burton forager?
Great review! TJ, are you going to do a top 5 POW board video soon?
Hi TJ, great video as usual! How’s it compared to the nitro slash?
Does the Jones spoon tech really make a big difference in the board?
it is a noticeable addition to the board

Would you recommend this over the Jones Ultra mind expander?!
Hey TJ, what are the main difference with the Jones Hover? Also, which one would be better for pow? Thanks mate!
Good Japan board then?
Any chance you can review a Nidecker board?
Split version when?

Looks like a sick board - what binding angles did you run on it?
I tried it with both positive. Little less in rear, but it was very comfortable like that

Hey man wondering what settings you use to film on the gopro? Protune?
How would you compare to the NS Swift? Thx
do you think this storm wolf is better than gentem rocketfish or TT165 ?
storm wolf vs dancehaul?
need a Jones board in my quiver!
Get one!
