    I agree with everything you said but i gave you a thumbs down because of your demonstrairion walking around in the trailer, without the stabilizers down you were practicly jumping up and down and side to side but with them down you walked around Very carefully. Not exactly apples to apples.

    My 32 ft camper weighs over 7000 pounds. My "leveling" stands have zero issues being used as jacks. I used them to level all the time and my frame isn't bent They're as strong as the jacks that lift my pickup.

    Great video! One tip I'd like to offer is check the pressure you have on the stabilizers during your stay. Throughout my recent trip it seems that the ground wasn't rock solid and I found some had a lot of pressure on them and others were loose. On pack up day one stand was so tight it slightly bent the adjuster screw and one had no pressure. I'll now make it a point to check each one each morning.

    I noticed before the video starts it shows the stabilizers set down on concrete blocks .. you should never ever set your stabilizers down or your jacks down or anytype of landing gear straight down on to concrete blocks.. you should put the concrete block down and then piece of 2x6 or 2 pieces of 2x4 side by side ontop of the concrete block then your stabilizer or jacks set down on that.. metal on concrete can cause and does make the concrete block break/crack over time ive seen it happen.. not a pretty sight

    Interesting topic. I agree, using the ratchet wrench will put a lot of torque. I like the idea of a cheaper drill, which gives up easily when hitting resistance, giving me the fast and not to powerful option. Excellent idea using the cup of water for a visual aid.

    Great video! I got lucky though on my 2021 26DBH, it came with power stabilizers. Roughly the same concept, they stabilize only, not for leveling but there is a little switch for each front and rear and they go up and down on their own. They are a little slow but I figure this makes sure I don't tweak anything. Left and right come down as one so its less likely to twist the frame too.

    • @HowToRV

    • @crpth1
      @crpth1 Год назад

      Just as already mentioned stabilize it's not needed.
      BUT, with that said. One thing that highly advisable. Is that given the chance lift the wheels. So you don't end up with "flat" tyres.
      It's always a good practice to do so. Be it in a trailer or a car kept for long periods in the same position. Cheers
