upgrades are always an adventure -well done
Cheers and thanks mate!
Thanks for the video! I wasn't happy with the pinched tubing either. Instead of cutting the inlet, I added a longer loop of tubing. Not quite as plug and play as i expected but it should work!
Nice work!
Also. I crimped the end of my whirlpool arm. Makes the whirlpool very strong! You should test it out.
how did you do that?
@@lassek779 hammer
Just did mine, certainly an improvement but not as strong as i expected
Does a much faster empty that's for sure
Already done the conversion! Works great
Great to hear!
You're trained in ACDC, Bon would be proud, Shamon from the UK
It's a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll! Cheers mate!
👍 bloody ripper Gash!
Cheers Ben!
Thanks for the Vid.
Cheers John!
Good upgrade.
(pity about the butchering of the pump housing inlet)
Wasn't needed, chop!
Upgrading the pump is probably one of the best things you can do to an all in one. Especially if you use a plate chiller. The pumps on the original Grain Father were atrocious. As was the inlet. Constant pluggage.
If you read the specs on these pumps they are supposed to be mounted with the inlet 12" below the level of the liquid they are pumping. They don't self prime. They rely on hydrostatic pressure for the inlet feed.
Yes they don't self prime but the weight of the water on top is usually plenty never really had an issue, if it starts to vortex while draining yep, it can airlock.
Would the standard pump be ok to run a counter flow chiller? Cheers for all the knowledge Gash!
I use the standard rubber counterflow chiller from kegland. if it´s on the same height als the recirculation arm, it def. works.
pump description states it can climb up to around 2m.
I just installed my chiller on a fixed, elevated position and will try soon if it still works without a problem.
@@martinlenk6117 cheers man 👍
I would have cut a hole in the Brewzilla. But good job. I hope to brew one of your beers soon.
I am looking into getting the 35l or 65l brewzilla! Which one do you think would be the better choice. I have experience brewing 10 gal batches, but it’s just me. Id be giving most of it away!
Would brewing a 20L batch in the 65l affect efficiency at all? Thanks for your help! Your videos rock!
Bit late but, that's all I've been doing lately, single batches in the 65, much easier brewday, better flowing mashes etc for big beers. The 35 can get a little full over 6%
Can the original Gen 3 be upgraded?
You funny bugger, is that a new type of tilt meter 🙂
Just as reliable on FG hahaha
Will this work in the gen 3.1?
The screw holes aren't there, and the configuration will be different, but there's no reason you couldn't mod it. Cheers!
are you fermenting the in the cubes?
no , just no chilling, though you could if you poured out some for some head space. Cheers!
I want an upgraded pump on my 35L. Would this be to much?
It wouldnt fit, you can run one through your tap, but honestly the 35L is so slim I dont think it would make much difference. Cheers!
hey bro, did you try to upgrade the pump on the 35L? how did that end up?
@@valentinomravunac1107 I did. It’s not really worth it.
@@Justin.J.Daniels Did the 25 w pump fit underneath the 35L?
Did you make a FUNNY....ABBA
