I have a few Older, very older plunger filler pens which need to be restoring. I am using them as dip pens and they are amazing writers. Amazing nibs with flexing quality writing which is a very different character in writing. Thank you for the video.
Thanks Dave! I love my Magna Classic in chased black with Sterling Silver trim.. the 14k nib has got to be one of the top three.. if not the very best. I really wish I could visit the UK for a show and pick up a red type.. I really enjoy working with James... cool guy! I enjoy your videos.. you have a superb collection! Best to you, Frank, Boulder, Colorado, USA
Thanks Frank, the Onoto's really are a nice pen, the chasing is gorgeous especially on those coloured versions and the pearl versions. James and Feng are great to work with and very professional!
Great video Dave, very informative. I was going to joke that onoto stood for oh no too expensive but after seeing your video I can see why they are priced in such way. Lots of handwork and made in England to boot. Look forward to seeing your videos. And also don't look forward to seeing your video because I may end up buying some lol. Keep up the good work.
I'm not sure to be honest, I had read before that Onoto had used Bock but I'm not sure if that's still the case or not. I know the nibs look more slender / narrower than JoWo current nibs.
Didn't know about this pen brand until now, but they look great! Looking forward to learning more and watching your unboxing vids, Dave!
Thanks Dara, some new pen video reviews will be released throughout this week on Onoto!

Thanks Cyril, I hope you can get your Onoto's restored back to full writing order soon!

Thanks John, I think you will like one of the pens I'll be reviewing this week!
I will attend the Chicago Land Pen show in May. Overwhelming !
Thanks Dave for another excellent review. Does Onoto make their own nibs or do they use JoWo or Bock nibs?

@@PenultimateDave Thnak You for the information.
Delightful .. thank you!
Does Onoto make anything that is a bit more "entry level"?
The Onoto entry level pens are the Magna Classic's, they start at £389 inc VAT / £324 exc VAT.
Thank you. I may or may not take the plunge. So many pens, so little time!
Try their ‘Scholar’ range - they’re a bit less than the Magna ones.
Lovely pens... but no arrow clip...
