1 18 is all you need..it’s all about the box, a little about the woofer..I have a single 18 in a 7cf Gately box and it’s twice as loud as it was in my old 3cf box..I’m gonna do a demo of it here soon and post it on my channel..effing aye may Zziing!!

Hey Jacob can you do a video explaining how vehicle cabin interplays with box tuning for music vs spl. I've noticed in the majority of your videos the people have their boxes tuned low 30's yet I always understood that higher freq 55-70hz would output more spl. Thanks.
That’s a very hard topic to discuss and review and I’m honestly not qualified to present this but can discuss it on my 2nd channel in some of my vlogs sure thanks for idea.
Some want sound quality rather than a burp box, now tuning in counter intuitive with bandpass boxes typically with a regular ported box tuning in the 30’s will yield a better overall bandwidth. Now personally I’m a lows monster 150 at 24hz but I also compete subsonic suicide.
I finally have a job good enough and a Durango to be able to get a taramps 3k and idk what 18 to get around 400 bucks or less, ????

Definitely bout as much as that windshield is gonna take 😂 sick build man, how are 18s? I like tight bass from 10s and 12s, 15s are cool cuz of flex but in my experience once you get to 15s the pressure falls off

I have a single skar zvx 15 with a box that’s about 4.5 Cupid sq ft. It’s designed sub on top and has 2 ports on the front of the box. Should I face the ports to the cab of the car with seat down or face to the trunk with seat down. What’s louder/ sound better any recommendations will help me out thanks
You have to test both and see what you like as all systems and vehicles react different. Try both and go with what was better.

Would love to know the size of that box. Doing a design for my trunk minimum of 4.5 before port and it takes up the whole trunk. Barely able to pull off an 18” in a proper box. Understood 4.5 is as small as you want to go for an 18?

I currently have 2 15s in my Camry was looking for 1 18 that may fit in it thinking to may sound and hit a lot harder. How much would this cost including buying a box and possibly an amp? I only have a 1000 watt kendwood amp atm
2 15s in a good box is more cone area than a single 18. Your best to upgrade electrical and amp/sub power.
